Requested & Expanded Announcements
May 20, 2018

Graduation Potluck will be held today at 12 noon in the Fellowship Hall. Please bring a hot and cold dish to share;
tableware, beverage and cake will be provided. Join us as we celebrate our high school graduates – Nic Kloosterman and Nevada Krans. (if you did not remember to prepare a dish to share, you are still welcome to the potluck).

Evening Worship Service will be held at 6 pm at Hamilton Reformed Church. Tonight Rev. Adam Van Der Stoep of
Hamilton Reformed will lead the worship service. You are invited to join with our brothers and sisters at Hamilton Reformed in worshipping together.

Small Group Bible Study will meet on Tuesday, May 22 at 7 pm at Garry & Marian Nyboer’s home. Our lesson is “The Future of the Human Person” from our study books.

Youth Group will meet on Wednesday, May 23 and we will be having our Memorial Day lesson. We will meet at 6:30 pm in the Youth Room.

Youth Sunday Worship Service ~ G.R.A.C.E. 360 Youth Group will lead the worship service next Sunday, May 27 at 9:30 am. They will be sharing the Bible verse, Galatians 5:13, during this memorial weekend and talk about sacrificial love. Viewer digression is advised for children and vets during a short movie clip that will be viewed during the service. We will also honor those that have served and are no longer with us. Please come visit the prayer request table before the service begins.

Newsletter ~ Information for the June church newsletter must be received by May 20 and may be placed in the newsletter box in the narthex.

Prayer Request ~ Next Sunday before the worship service you are invited to submit a prayer request and place it in the prayer box at the Welcome Table. These request will be prayed over during the morning prayer time. If the prayer request is marked confidential it will not be shared during the prayer time, but will be prayed over in a private way.

Pancake Breakfast Volunteers ~ Our church will be hosting the Memorial Day Pancake Breakfast on May 28. We need volunteers to help serve breakfast. If you can help please sign the sheet at the Welcome Table. If you have any questions contact Sandi Nyboer or Michele Dykstra.

Vacation Bible School ~ This year our church is teaming up with Hamilton Reformed for Vacation Bible School. Our first
assignment is to come up with volunteers willing to help the nights of Monday, July 23 – Wednesday, July 25, 6 – 8:30 pm. We need volunteers to help with crafts, activities, decorating, class leaders and helpers. If you would be willing to help please sign the sheet at the Welcome Table.

Baccalaureate Service for the Hamilton High School Class of 2018 will be held today at 2:30 pm at the Overisel Reformed Church. The graduation service will be held on Thursday, May 24 at 7 pm at the high school. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Hamilton Lion’s Club Community Chicken BBQ will be held on Wednesday, May 23 from 4:30 – 6:30 pm at the Hamilton
Middle School Cafeteria. Take out is available in the gymnasium. Tickets can be purchased in advanced from Stan Gates or any Lion’s Club member or at the door at the time of the event. All proceeds go toward providing glasses for low income families. Thank you for your support of this community event.

Memorial Day Parade ~ Hamilton’s 91st Memorial Day Parade will be held on Monday, May 28. The parade invites all
Veterans, combat and non-combat to be part of the parade. Rides will be available. Also business floats, community floats, antique cars, tractors, horses, friendly dogs, bikes and military vehicles and more can be part of this grand parade. Line-up for the parade begins at 8 am at the Hamilton High School. The parade begins at 9 am and precedes down 136th Avenue concluding at Riverside Cemetery with a Memorial Service. Christian Reformed Conference Grounds summer schedules are available at the Welcome Table. Every Saturday night they host a musical program. Check the schedule for all the details.

Love INC ~ Do you know a family or individual struggling to “make life work”? Please let them know about Love INC’s
