Following the service, fellowship time will be held with cake being served. Pastor Jake’s ministry at Hamilton CRC will conclude on July 31. Evening Worship Service will be held at Hamilton Reformed Church at 6 pm. The service will be led by Rev. Adam Van Der Stoep. The August evening services will be held at our church. Next Sunday Mr. Tim DeCamp will lead the time of worship as we worship with Hamilton and Bentheim Reformed Church. Communion Service will be held next Sunday morning, August 4. Rev. Ruth Lemmen, our missionary to China will lead the worship service and also give an update of her work. In this week prepare your heart as we partake of Holy Communion. A thank offering will be received for Faith Promise Mission Support. Small Group Bible Study will meet on Tuesday, August 13 at 7 pm at Garry & Marian’s house. We will discuss lesson 12, “Ultimate Victory in Christ.” Congregational Meeting ~ At the congregational meeting held this past Wednesday it was approved to re-roof the sanctuary and narthex by a licensed contractor. The first goal is to raise $20,000 before the project can begin. If you would like to give to this project the Deacons ask that you mark your giving envelope “Roof Project” and place it in the offering plate. Depending on when the money is raised will determine when the project begins. 5-Day Bible Club will be held at the Heath Township Ball Park Gazebo from Monday, July 29 through Friday, August 2 from 10 am – 11:30 am. All kids, 5 years – 12 years old are invited to come for Bible lessons, songs, games, stories, memory verse and prizes. If you have questions, contact Haven Church at 751.7321. Love INC and Back-to-School ~ It is that time of year to start thinking about Back-to-School. Love INC’s Backpack Ministry is collecting backpacks and school supplies for children in need in Northwest Allegan County. A list of items needed is available on the Welcome Table. School items may be placed in the “back-to-school” tote in the fellowship hall through August 11. Help send a child back-to-school with a positive start. Shop and Donate at the Heart-to-Heart, Love INC’s resale store. Donations can be brought to the store Monday – Friday, 9:30 am – 5 pm and Saturday, 9:30 am – 2 pm and can be dropped off at 4621 – 135th Avenue. Gently used items are needed – clothing, toys, household items, furniture and miscellaneous items. And always check out the items they have for sale in the store which changes daily. Shop, donate and support a ministry here in Hamilton. Christian Reformed Conference Grounds, 12253 Lakeshore Drive, Grand Haven, is excited to welcome contemporary Christian music artist Hannah Kerr in concert on Friday, August 2. Hannah has a heart for worship and a gift for writing songs that will bring you into the presence of God. The doors to the Worship Center will open at 6 pm, the concert will begin at 7 pm. General admission tickets for this concert are $12 / ticket. Be sure and come early and enjoy the pizza buffet which is served in the Sunshine Room from 5 - 6:30 pm. Tim is a recent graduate of Western Theological Seminary and resides in Holland with his family. We welcome Pastor Tim to HCRC to lead us in worship. Evening Worship Service will be held at Hamilton Reformed Church at 6 pm. The service will be led by Pastor Ron Lugten. Next Sunday evening Rev. Adam Van Der Stoep will lead the worship time. Small Group Bible Study will meet on Tuesday, July 23 at 7 pm at Max and Jan’ s house. We will discuss lesson 11, “The Armor of God”. Congregational Meeting will be held on Wednesday, July 24 at 6:30 pm in the fellowship hall. We will be voting on the church roofing project. Farewell Service ~ Pastor Jake Porter has accepted a call to Immanuel Christian Reformed Church . The farewell service for Pastor Jake will be on Sunday morning, July 28 and he will conclude his ministry here at Hamilton CRC on July 31. Following the service on July 28 there will be a time of fellowship for the Porter family with cake being served. Community Vacation Bible School will be held July 22 – July 24 at Hamilton Reformed Church from 6 – 8:30 pm. All kids 3-year-olds (must be potty trained) – 4th grade are invited to join in three nights of exploring God’s goodness and celebrate a ferocious faith that powers you through this wild life. Kids can register the first night of VBS or go to ridgepoint.ccbchurch.com/goto/forms/469/response/new. CD’s are available of the songs that will be used for the 3 nights for a donation of $5 and are available on the Welcome Table. Food Pantry is in need of 1 dozen size egg cartons. Be sure to come early and enjoy a delicious Meatloaf dinner served in the Sunshine Room from 5 – 6:30 pm.
