Baptism ~ Next Sunday morning we will celebrate the baptism of Charlie Elizabeth Kozak, infant daughter of Renae Turner and Alex Kozak.

 Prayer for the people of Nepal who where affected by the earthquake.  Many lives were lost, injured and displaced.

Worship Service ~ The morning service will be led by Pastor Jacob Porter.  We will also have commissioning service of our new elders Paul Nyboer and Tom Tucker and deacons Paul Kloosterman, Scott Nyboer and Matt Vander Bok.  We give thanks for the three-years of service to Fred Mireles, Jerry Prince, Dean Eding, Kurt Klinkers and Doug Wabeke

Offering ~ A special offering will be received this morning.  These gifts will help a single mother in the Hamilton community re-roof her mobile home with volunteer labor from our church.

Sunday School classes will meet this morning.  Pre-K – 4th grade will be dismissed during the morning service and 5th – 12th grade will meet following morning worship.

Ladies Guild Bible Study will meet Tuesday, May 5 at 10 am in the Council Room.  We will discuss lesson 4 Doing What Is Right with Love”.    Our last meeting of the season will be May 19 with a luncheon at Hawk’s Nest Restaurant.

Pancake Breakfast ~ Our church will be hosting the Memorial Day Pancake Breakfast on May 25 in the church fellowship hall.  If you would like to help serve breakfast to the Hamilton Community sign-up in the fellowship hall.  Many workers are needed to help with this project.

Community Garden ~ Potatoes, tomatoes, sweet corn and beans – it’s Community Garden time.  Come join     us for meeting after the morning service today to find out what our Community Garden is all about.   Find out if being a garden helper might be for you and help pick out the veggies that we want to grow      this summer.  We will decide which week-night we want to work in the garden.  Anyone is welcome to  help garden with us every week, or just once or twice during the summer.  With a group of helpers it  only takes 1-2 hours a week to maintain a healthy garden full of produce for the food pantry.  Hope to   see you at the meeting after the morning service!

Ladies Guild Bible Study will meet on Tuesday, May 5 at 10 am.  We will discuss lesson 4 “Doing What Is   Right With Love”.  All ladies are welcome to join us for this study on Titus and Philemon.

National Day of Prayer will be held on Thursday, May 7 at 12:15 – 12:45 pm at the Heath Township Hall in  Hamilton.  This year’s theme is “Lord Hear Our Cry”.  On this day we come together as a nation to  intercede for American its leadership, government, military, media, business, education, church and         family.  The time of prayer will be held rain or shine.

Small Group Bible Study will meet on Tuesday, May 19 at 7 pm at the Royal Park Atrium.  We will discuss    lesson 3 – “Never Alone” in our study books.

 

Bible League ~  A letter from the Women’s Division of Bible League International Volunteers is in your   church mailbox.  Please read this letter carefully and prayerfully consider supporting their project to    provide Bible study materials and Bibles to waiting believers in South America.  Please respond by May 17.  Together, we can strive to end the global Bible Famine helping people meet Jesus and changing lives  for Him!  Thank you for making an eternal difference.

Camp Beechpoint, located on Dumont Lake in Allegan, will be having Day Camp from June 8 – July 31.  If  you have children over the age of 6 who would like to go tubing, fishing, drive go-carts, zip lines, etc. while learning about Christ, then Camp Beechpoint is for you!  The day begins at 8 am and ends at                4:30 pm.  For more information call 269.673.6155.

Parking Lot Sale will be held on Saturday, May 16 (rain date May 30) from 8 am – 1 pm at the Hamilton   Reformed Church.  Vendors with crafts, rummage sale items are all part of the sale.  A food concession  also available.

Mom-2-Mom Sale ~ Overisel Reformed Church is sponsoring a Mom-2-Mom Sale on Saturday, May 16 from  9 am – 12 noon.  We have many sellers and a few vendors including Thirty-One and LulaRoe.

 Missionaries in Nepal ~ Last Saturday, the people of Nepal and northern India were rocked by a 7.8 magnitude earthquake.  So far, more than 5,000 people are reported to have been killed in this disaster.     All Christian Reformed World Mission staff and partners are safe, and most of their efforts have shifted       temporarily to assisting with relief.  We praise God for his hand of protection over our staff members and partners in the midst of this tragedy.  Pray that they can be of help and comfort to all people   affected by the earthquake.

Nepal Earthquake ~ World Renew is responding to the catastrophic earthquake that took the lives of over 5,000 people in Nepal and injured thousands more in the worst disaster to strike the country in 80 years.   World Renew is working with Christian Reformed World Missions as well as two local partners to  provide safe water (water purification tablets and water filtration systems) emergency food, cooking       fuel and tents to earthquake survivors.   They also hope to be involved in longer-term programs with     other partners as funding allows.  Join World Renew in this effort.  To donate call 1.800.552.7972 or go to www.worldrenew.net/donate.

Prayer Opportunities ~ Each Sunday at 9 am (Council Room) and each Wednesday at 7 am (Sanctuary).    A prayer Team is also available after each morning service at the front of the sanctuary.
