Zena Walters will be having surgery on Monday at Blodgett Hospital in Grand Rapids to remove the spot on her colon. Pray for her, the medical team and her recovery. God is with us through all things.

OUR CHURCH ANNOUNCEMENTS

Morning Service ~ This morning Pastor Jake will lead us in worship. We will be learning from Acts 27 and next Sunday Acts 28. On December 3 we will begin our Advent series, Longing For… based on the book of Isaiah.

Evening Worship Service will be held at Hamilton Reformed Church at 6 pm. The service will be led by Pastor Jake. The Community Advent Hymnsing will be held on December 3 at 6 pm at Hamilton Reformed Church.

Thanksgiving Day Service will be held on Thursday, November 23 at 9:30 am. Envelopes for the thank offering are available in the pew racks and at the Welcome Table. A list of ministries to consider with your thank offering is included in the November newsletter. The Deacons also ask that you consider the General Fund with your thanksgiving offering.

Noisy Offering ~ For the months of November and December the Sunday School will be collecting your “pocket change” for the Love INC Sponsor-a-Family Christmas project. This year the Sunday School has taken a leap of faith and are sponsoring two families – a family of five and a family of four. Keep empting your pockets of change to help them supply gifts and food and show the love of Jesus to these families.

The GATE Youth Center invites you to take a look at their new building (4671 E. Washington Street) on Sunday, November 19 from 11 am – 12:30 pm. Come and see how you can be a part of the community that invests in our youth! Find us on Facebook – The Gate Youth Center. The Gate Youth Center is taking applications for a director. All interested applicants can email their resume to thegateministry117@gmail.com. Deadline for applying is November 20.

Pantry Donations for the Food and Personal Needs can be placed on the table in the narthex through November 23. A list of items needed is available on the Welcome Table. Help these pantries stock their shelves for the winter months.

Ladies Guild Bible Study will meet on Tuesday, November 21 at 10 am in the fellowship hall. We will be discussing lesson 4 – Shining Like Stars.

Small Group Bible Study will meet on Tuesday, November 21 at 7 pm at Joyce’s house. Our lesson is #2 from our study book, End Times.

Thanksgiving Day Service will be held on Thursday, November 23 at 9:30 am.

Give Hunger the Boot ~ Hungry for Christ has partnered with Overisel Fire Department to help “give hunger the boot”. On Friday, November 24 at the corner of 142nd and 48th Street in Overisel between 8 am – 3 pm the fire department will be accepting monetary donations for Hungry for Christ. Donations can also be made directly to Hungry for Christ (PO Box 71, Hamilton, MI 49419). Help give “hunger the boot”.

Hamilton Tree Lighting ~ You are invited to Hamilton’s Christmas Tree Lighting on Saturday, November 25 at 7 pm at the Hamilton Dentistry Lawn on M-40. Join with us in singing the Christmas songs followed by cookies and hot chocolate.

Newsletter ~ Information for the December church newsletter is due November 26 and may be placed in the newsletter box in the narthex.

Cadets will be meeting on Wednesday, November 29 for a special night. We will be doing a special project and having a fun night. Meet at the clubhouse at 6:30 pm. Any boys in grades 1st – 5th are welcome to be part of this group.

Sunday School will not meet next Sunday, November 26 due to Thanksgiving weekend. We will meet December 3 and begin our Advent series, Way to Bethlehem.

Youth Group we will not be meeting this week Wednesday due to Thanksgiving. We will be meeting on November 29 and begin our Christmas lessons.

Advent and Christmas Concert & Sing-Along with the Silvertones will be held on Friday, December 1 at 2 pm at Hamilton Reformed Church Fellowship Room (barrier-free). The Silvertones is a small band that will be playing a blend of religious and secular Christmas songs. Come expecting to enjoy a time of good music, good fellowship and good refreshments. Also come expecting to do some singing. People of all ages are invited to attend. The concert is expected to last approximately one hour.

Community Advent Carol Sing will be held on Sunday evening, December 3 at 6 pm at Hamilton Reformed Church. Jack Ten Cate will be leading the audience in a community chorus of carols.

Right to Life of Holland Holiday Auction will be held on Thursday, December 7 from noon – 8 pm with a dinner at 5:30 pm. If you would like to attend the auction and dinner please RSVP to the Right to Life Office by November 22 at 616.396.1037.

CPR Class ~ Are you interested in taking a one-night class on CPR through American Red Cross at our church? Sign-up at the Welcome table and indicate what evening works best for your schedule. A volunteer from the American Red Cross will be leading the class. The class is free, but if you want to become certified there is a $20 charge.

Christmas ~ Love INC is still in need of volunteers willing to Sponsor-a-Family for the Christmas Project. You would be given a family and purchase gifts, a gift card and deliver the items to Dunningville Reformed Church December 4-6. Love INC will distribute the gifts to the families on December 9. If you are interested in sponsoring a family or would like to know more contact Char at 269.751.2533 or loveinccvb@frontier.com.
