 OUR CHURCH ANNOUNCEMENTS

 Today’s Worship Services will be led by Mr. Jake Porter.  We will also celebrate the baptism of Jake & Kris’ sons, Dean and Bennett.

Love Offering will be taken during the morning service for medical expenses for John & Heather Judge family.  Continue to lift this family up in prayer.

Thanksgiving Day Service will be held on November 27 at 9:30 am.  Rev. Keith Porter, Jake’s father, will lead us in worship.  At this service Jake will be installed as a preaching elder, which will allow him to officiate at the celebration of sacraments.  Thanksgiving offering envelopes are available at the Welcome Table and in the pew racks.

Small Group Bible Study will meet Tuesday, November 25 at 7 pm at Royal Park Atrium.  We will discuss lesson 16 – Politics & Religion from Acts 21-23

Congregational meeting will be held on Wednesday, December 3 at 7 pm.  The General Budget for 2015 will be explained and voted on.  A copy of the budget is available in your church mailbox.  All professing members, 18 years and older, are encouraged to attend.  If you are unable to attend, absentee ballots are available from any elder.

Pantries ~ Our church is collecting items for the Love INC food, personal needs and baby pantries.  Donations may be placed on the tables in the fellowship hall until November 27.  See the November newsletter for a list of items needed.

Weekly Prayer Opportunities are held every Sunday morning,

9-9:15 am and Wednesday mornings, 7 – 8 am in the church sanctuary.  Anyone is welcome to come and pray.

Requested & Expanded Announcements

November 23, 2014

 December Newsletter articles are due today and may be placed in the newsletter box in the narthex.

Ladies Guild Bible Study will meet on Tuesday, December 2.  We will discuss lesson 5 – Paul in Ephesus.   We will also take a Love Offering at our meeting.  Our next meeting will be December 16.

Thanksgiving Service will be held on November 27 at 9:30 am.  Thanksgiving offering envelopes are  available in the pew racks and on the Welcome Table.   A list of various ministries for you to consider with your Thanksgiving offering is available on the Welcome Table.

Community Christmas Carol Sing will be held next Sunday, November 30 at 6 pm at Hamilton Reformed  Church.  Everyone is welcome to join for this special service as we prepare for Christ’s birth.

Fellowship Night ~ Our next Fellowship Night will be held on December 10.  A Christmas dinner will be   served from 5:30 – 6:30 pm.  Our program at 6:30 pm will be given by Tim Vander Zwaag.  Tim will share  his testimony and story of suffering a severe farming accident and how God brought Tim and wife  Teresa through this.  Invite a friend to join for this evening.

Church Kitchen ~ Missing are five white aprons from the church kitchen.  If you took them home to wash           them, please return them as we use them for the fellowship night dinners.

Noisy Offering collected during the morning service helps the Sunday School children purchase Christmas  gifts for their Love INC Adopt-a-Family project.  Your “pocket change” is an encouragement to our youth.

Christmas Card Mailboxes for our missionaries and church family who are unable to worship with us each Sunday are located in the fellowship hall.  Cards may be placed in the special mailboxes until December   14.  Take time to send greetings to these special people.  A Christmas card list is available in the          November newsletter.

Hamilton’s Annual Christmas Tree Lighting ~ Hamilton Dentistry and the Hamilton Lions Club invite you to  celebrate the Christmas season on Saturday, November 29 at 7 pm at the Hamilton Medical Center.   Cookies and hot chocolate will be provided along with Christmas caroling to follow the tree lighting.  All are welcome to join for this community event.

Lakeshore Little People ~ Teacher assistants and Preschool Teachers are needed for Christian Preschool  and Childcare.  Lakeshore Little People’s Place, a Christian non-profit, is currently hiring in Hamilton.  Full  and part-time positions are available for year-round employment (summer off possible).  Must be 18    years-   old and be able to meet childcare licensing requirements and background clearances for the teacher assistant position.  For the Preschool Teacher a Bachelor’s degree or higher in early childhood  education, child development (or a child related field) or Michigan Teaching Certificate with a ZA/ZS is   preferred.  Benefits available for full-time employment and training provided.  Degree in early childhood    or related field preferred.  Resume can be emailed to llpp.office@gmail.com.

Volunteer Drivers ~ The Holland Deacons’ Conference is looking for volunteer drivers to assist with     transportation on an occasional or regular basis for residents of My Brother’s House and Sister’s Houses.  This is a wonderful opportunity to help our residents achieve a higher level of independence while            making new friendships and experiencing the satisfaction of knowing you are providing an important   and much needed service.  Requirements and qualifications include:  valid driver’s license, safe driving   record, background check, at least 21 years of age, orientation and training, volunteer 1-8 hours.  To  apply or inquire, contact Jack Kooyman at 616.494.6050 or by email at jack@hdcrc.org.

Winter Weather Policy for Worship Services ~ If a worship service would need to be cancelled due to winter weather, the cancellation will be announced on WOOD-TV8.
