If we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.  Romans 14:8

Requested & Expanded Announcements

April 6, 2014

Thank you Letter from Rev. Wes Van Dyk:

“Dear John,  We got the card and the gift ($100) a few days ago.  Can’t tell you how moved we were by your gesture.  Would you please convey to the congregation, as you see fit, our love and thanks!

As I write I just finished a day of chemo and radiation.  (Radiation is Mon-Fri; chemo only on Tues PM).    The end of this week will mark the half-way point.  At the end, we wait a few weeks and then scan.

Our prayer is that this scan will be clear.  In any case I am learning through cancer (as I’m sure many of your dear people have done through this disease and other afflictions) how fragile I am, how passing

this life is and how powerful our Savior is to hold us and bless us in all circumstances ~ “in life and in death.”   You and the dear church I was blessed to serve have put flesh and bones on that Truth.

Thank you again in the love of Christ, Wes and Ellen Van Dyk
