Bill Fitts had a successful double lung transplant on Wednesday after a nine hour surgery at Spectrum Butterworth!  Last fall we hosted a community benefit for him, and his daughter Amber and Ron Childs are planning soon to become HCRC members.

Wilma Schierbeek celebrates a birthday on May 9.  Remember her with a birthday greeting ~ 4992 – 134th Ave ~ Hamilton, MI.

 

OUR CHURCH ANNOUNCEMENTS

 

Morning Worship  will be led by Rev. Ray Vander Laan.  We praise God for the twenty-four year partnership that HCRC has  had with the Vander Laan family and their TTWMK ministry.

 

Evening Worship at 6 pm will be held at the Overisel Reformed Church.  This annual Love INC service will be led by the Overisel Praise Team and include testimonies from the Love ministry.

Lori and Mark Essink will be returning Thursday from vacation.

 

Sunday School for Pre-K–8th grade meet today and May 11.  High School SS classes conclude today.  On May 18 our Sunday School will lead our morning worship, with Pastor Jake leading this Youth Service, followed by a potluck in the fellowship hall.

 

Alpha Outreach meets Thursday, May 8, at 6 pm for a meal followed by the movie “Why & How Should We Tell Others?”

“Does God Heal Today?” is the topic for Thursday, May 15.

 

Mission Project led by our Youth Group is Saturday, May 10.  Meet at 4 pm at the church parking lot if you can help serve this monthly supper at Holland Resuce Mission.  You are welcome!

 

Men’s Breakfast meets on Saturday, May 17 at 8 am.  All men  are invited to come for a great hot and hearty breakfast here.

Jack Haveman of our local Moody Radio will share a testimony.

 

Pastor John and Kathy are in Moline, IL, today attending their daughter Allison’s graduation there from Ashford University with a Social Work degree.  Please take one of the Byker Buzz newsletters from Pastor John’s box if you want to know more about Allison’s coming wedding and our Byker June 15 farewell.

Requested & Expanded Announcements

Small Group (Schaap) Bible Study will be on Tuesday, May 6 at 7 pm and discussing lesson 8. We will be meeting on Royal Park Atrium.

Youth Outreach Project will be serving supper at the Holland Rescue Mission on Saturday, May 10. We will meet at church at 4 pm.  Anyone is invited to join the youth in this fun mission project.

Parking Lot Sale will be held on Saturday, May 10 from 8 am – 1 pm at the Hamilton Reformed Church. Come and check out the treasures available at over 40 booths.  Lunch is also available.

The Fellowship Team is planning a church potluck on Sunday, May 18 at 11:45. We will be honoring our high school and college graduates and the conclusion of the church school year. Those whose last names begin A-M, please bring a cold dish to share and N-Z names, bring a hot dish. Come and celebrate with your church family! Beverage and dessert will be provided.

Helpers are needed to serve breakfast at the Memorial Day Pancake Breakfast on May 26 in our church fellowship hall.  If you can give a few hours that morning, sign-up in the fellowship hall.

Community Vacation Bible School will be July 21-24 and we are looking for volunteers to fill positions to help lead the 200 plus children who attend every year.  If you are interested in signing up for this year or next year contact Jake (pastorjake80@gmail.com) or Sue Nykamp (seding1@hamiltonschools.us)

Love INC Basic Training ~ Are you gifted with being a people helper?  Do you find yourself wondering how you could help someone you come in contact with inside and outside the church?  Love INC’s training will help you help others in the Name of Christ.  Training session will be held on Tuesday, May 6, 13 and 20 at 6:30 pm at the Love INC Community Room.  RSVP to loveincsf@frontier.com or 751.2533, ext. 109.

Bible League ~ You received a letter in your mailbox from you Bible League International Volunteers. Read this letter and prayerfully consider supporting their project to provide Bible study materials and Bibles to waiting believers in South America.  Please respond by May 18.  Together, we can strive to end the global Bible Famine helping people meet Jesus and changing lives for Him!  Thank you for making an eternal difference.

Lakeshore Little People’s Place is excited to announce that they will be opening a new childcare site in              Hamilton! The new center is located at 3362 M-40 next to The Trestle Stop restaurant.  We plan to complete the licensing process in late summer and will be open for the new school year.  This site will offer quality, affordable, Christian child care as well as expand Lakeshore Little People’s Place’s services and Christian outreach in the area.  If you are interested in care for your child or employment opportunities, please call 616.399.9149 or email llpp.office@gmail.com.

VBS in Orient ~ Millions of children in Asia have not heard that Jesus loves them.  Will you go and share the good news?  If you love kids and VBS, this 3-week volunteer opportunity in July is perfect for you! Additional details can be found at www.crwm.org or contact volunteer@crcna.org.

Prayer Opportunities:  Each Sunday at 9 am (Council Room), and each Wednesday at 7 am (Sanctuary). A Prayer Team is available for any prayer need after each morning service at the front of the sanctuary.
