OUR CHURCH FAMILY

 Paul Schaap is at Rest Haven Care Center (28040th Street – Holland) under hospice care.  Your prayers are very much appreciated by the family;   visits have been limited to family.

Edene Hofman (former minister wife of our church) fractured her hip and is recovering at Rest Haven Rehbiliation ~ 280- 40th Street –  Holland – Room 504.

 OUR CHURCH ANNOUNCEMENTS

 Morning Worship Service will be led by our Youth Director Jacob Porter.

Community Evening Worship Service will be led by Mr. Chris Walker of New Tribes Mission.  Chris & Angie work as church planting missionaries among the Milbu people of Papua New Guinea.  Tonight Chris will share of their work – join us for this special service.

Service ~ Next Sunday, July 20, our morning worship service will be led by Rev. Ron De Young.

Community Service ~ Next Sunday evening Rev.  Chris De Vos will lead our evening worship service.  Rev. De Vos is part of Pillar CRC in Holland.

Young Family Cook-Out will be this week Friday, July 18 at 6 pm at the home of Tim & Dawn Driesenga.  Sign-up in the fellowship hall if you plan to attend.  Bring a dish to share.

Men’s Breakfast  will be held Saturday, July 19 in the church fellowship hall.  Breakfast will be served from 8 – 9 am.  Men of all ages are invited to a great breakfast!

 Vacation Bible School will be held July 21-24 from 6 – 8:30 pm at Haven Reformed Church.  All kids, Pre-K – 5th grade are invited to join in on four fun nights.

Kids, Vacation Bible School begins in one week.  You will not want to miss the fun of four nights of meeting  some animals of the zoo.  All the fun begins Monday, July 21 – Thursday, July 24 at Haven Reformed  Church from 6 – 8:30 pm.  Kids, Pre-K – 5th grade, are encouraged to attend.

Volunteers ~ This week Vacation Bible Schools needs to fill the remaining zoo crew volunteer positions.    Anyone, 6th grade – adults, that is available the evenings of July 21-24 should check out the volunteer  positions still needing to be filled and come be part of the zoo crew!

Donations of various items are needed for Vacation Bible School.  Could you donate sugar cookies,  M&M’s    (mini), tub of butter, and other items.  See the donation list in the fellowship hall.

Lakeshore Little People’s Place has free preschool opportunities for the 2014/2015 school year.  The Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) is a free preschool for children 4-years-old of age (prior to October 1,            2014) who meet the family income requirements.  This program will be available at the new Hamilton  South location (next to the Trestle Stop) Monday – Thursday, 8:45 – 11:45 am or 12:30 – 3:30 pm.     Tuition paid preschool and childcare for children ages 6-weeks through 5th grade will also be available.    For more information, call 616.399.9149, email llpp.office@gmail.com or visit on the web llpp.org.

Love INC  will be closing the Allegan Heart to Heart Store and needs helpers the weeks of August 11 and 18  to help clear-out the store.  Workers are needed to do light deconstruction, people  who can lift/load the     remaining items to return them to Hamilton.  If you can bring your own tools and offer some help for  an hour or more during these weeks, contact Tammy, 269.751.8642 or email   tammyleutz@gami.com.    Your help is appreciated.

Backpack Ministry ~ Love INC is excited to announce that Immanuel Lutheran Church will be hosting the Backpack Ministry Celebration and Distribution.  The distribution will be held on Tuesday, August 26  from 11 am – 2 pm with a hot dog cookout and backpack distribution to Love INC clients who completed an application.  Applications  are available from July 1 – August 22 at the Love INC office.  If you are an  Allegan or Hamilton resident, and need assistance with school supplies for your children, please call  269.751.2533.    Donations of school supplies can be brought to the Love INC office in Hamilton.   Supplies needed are:  backpacks (generic color, no character or wheels); pencils, erasers; markers;   colored pencils; glue sticks; scissors; crayons, 2-pocket folders; wide-ruled paper; loose-leaf paper; 3- ring binders; blue, black and red pens; yellow highlighters; ruler; protractor and graph paper.  Your       donations for this ministry are appreciated.

Church Growth Workshop for church leaders, outreach and mission groups.  This workshop includes an  informative and inspirational lecture:  “7 Shifts in Missions” by Multiplication Network Ministries, by  Dr. John Wagenveld, followed by a workshop based on Dr. Wagenveld’s new book ”Taking Your  Church’s Pulse”.  The workshop will be held Thursday, July 17 from 7 -9 pm at 14th Street CRC.   For  registration to go wagenlma@aol.com or phone 616.392.9079.
