Birthday Wishes  to Ken Laninga on August 1 who will celebrate 86 years and Julia Menken on Auust 9 who will celebrate 92 years.  Remember them on their special day.

Tom Tucker is at Zeeland Hospital due to an infection.  Remember him in prayer.

Hazel Geurink  has been moved to Royal Park Atrium in Zeeland.  She appreciates visitors and cards.

Give thanks to God for the rain He provided this past week.

OUR CHURCH ANNOUNCEMENTS

Morning Service ~ This morning Rev. Ray Vander Laan will lead us in worship as we continue in the Exodus series.

Church Cook-Out will be held following the morning service at Pastor Jake & Kris’ backyard.  Bring a dish to share and lawn chair; everything else will be provided.  Come enjoy a time of fellowship with your church family.

Evening Service will be held tonight at 6 pm at Hamilton Reformed Church.  Beginning next Sunday our church will host the evening services.

Small Group Bible Study will meet on Tuesday, August 9 at Royal Park Atrium at 7 pm.  Our lesson is on pages 69 and 70, Episode 3 from Matthew 24 and 25.

Back-to-School items can be placed in the school box until August 19 in the fellowship hall.  Help send a child in Northwest Allegan County to school with school supplies through Love INC.

Directory ~ A new church address directory is available in your church mailbox.

Spartan Labels ~ Due to the change in the Spartan UPC label program, we are no longer collecting Spartan labels for the church library.

Cookies are always needed for Sunday morning fellowship.  If you would like to donate cookies for Sunday moning fellowship, please bring them to the church kitchen on Sunday morning.  Cookies can be store-bought or home-made, please avoid cookies with peanut butter and any type of nuts.

Church Library now has the DVD “Miracles From Heaven” available for anyone to view.  This true story of a little girls illness shows how miracles are God’s way of letting us know He’s here.

Church Trip ~ Are you interested in going to the Meijer Gardens in Grand Rapids as a church group?  If you ae interested, contact Matt Thies or Judi Rice with a date that works for your calendar.  Cost is determined by amount attending.  There are tours available of the garden by foot and by tram ride.

Coping With Loss led by Chris Gillet, Grief Support Coordinator for Wings of Hope Hospice will meet on Wednesday, August 3 at 10 am at Hamilton Reformed Church.  There is no charge to attend and it is an open-ended group, so no registration is necessary.  For more information contact Hamilton Reformed at 751.5145.

Christian Reformed Conference Grounds in Grand Haven invites all ladies of all ages to a special day on Wednesday, August 3.  The guest speaker will be Lavone Genzink, author of Mountains of Mercy.  Coffee and cookies will be served starting at 9:30 am and the program will begin at 10 am in the Worship Center.  Lunch will be available for $7 in the Sunshine Room following the program.  For more information visit the grounds website at www.crcg.org.  Join us for this inspirational time of worship, a great message from Von, fellowship with ladies from all walks of life and a delicious lunch, all on the shores of beautiful Lake Michigan!

Hungry for Christ is hosting their 1st Annual Western Round-Up Carnival / Motorama (anything with a motor) Fundraiser on Saturday, August 13 from 12 noon – 4 pm at their new location 4565 – 135th Street Hamilton (next to Love INC Heart to Heart Store).  Cost is $10 for an all-day wristband that includes all games, face painting, balloon creations, barrel train rides.  There will also be a Motorama, food, ice cream sundae bar and bake sale.  A Dunk Tank will also be part of the event with your chance to dunk area youth pastors.   Registration for the Motorama opens at 11 am with rewards at 3 pm.  Everyone is welcome to attend.  More information is available at the Welcome Table.

Volunteers are needed at Hungry for Christ to help with the Carnival on August 13.  If you would like to volunteer contact Katy Miller at marie20katy@yahoo.com or 616.885.2587.  Help is needed for set-up on Friday night and Saturday morning.  We also need help with the games and clean-up.
