Thank You to those who came to the Pig Roast and Auction this past Friday night to benefit Amanda (Nyboer) Wilson who struggles with MS and other medical issues. Your love shown was a great blessing to this family. Continue to lift Amanda and her family in prayer that she may receive the right medical treatment for her condition.

OUR CHURCH ANNOUNCEMENTS
Morning Service ~ This morning we will celebrate the sacrament of Holy Communion. All those who believe Jesus died for their sins are invited to participate in this sacrament. A thank offering will be received for Faith Promise Mission.

Evening Worship service will be held at 6 pm at Hamilton Reformed Church. Pastor Ron Lugten will lead the service. Next Sunday evening Pastor Jake will lead the evening worship service at Hamilton Reformed Church.

Small Group Bible Study will meet on Tuesday, August 22 at Berend & Nancy’s home. Our lesson will be Praying Our Tears from Psalm 6.

Offerings ~ General Fund offering for August 6 was $1,841.00; Building Fund offering was $235.00.

Cadets ~ Mark your calendar for our Cadet Kick-off. We will be going to the Discovery Nature Center on Wednesday, September 13 at 6:30 pm. All boys in grades 2nd – 6th should meet at the clubhouse and are encouraged to be part of this ministry of HCRC. More details will be available soon.

New Legacy Project (formerly Blackwood Legacy) will be in concert on Friday, August 18 at 7 pm at Hamilton Reformed Church. This group from Nashville, Tennessee brings the best of Country Gospel, traditional and contemporary Southern gospel and today’s popular worship music. Formerly known as the Blackwood Legacy, they are well known for their flawless harmonies, comedy and homespun humor. Admission is free – a love offering will be received. Come and join this community event.

Fall Mission Trip Opportunity ~ This fall, plan a mission trip to help repair flooded homes in Manning, South Carolina with World Renew Disaster Response Services. Housing and meals are provided and World Renew facilitators are onsite during this engaging, fulfilling experience. See Manning, South Carolina at worldnrenew.net/volunteer to learn more.

Short-Term Volunteer ~ Are you 18 to 24 years old and interested in embarking on a short-term volunteer opportunity with life-long impact? Don’t Miss Out! You are invited to the annual Leadership Training Event hosted by Volunteers in Service, Calvin College and Resonate Global Missions (former CR Home & World Mission). The date is September 12 from 7 – 9 pm held at Calvin College. The evening includes a time of welcome and worship, learning and networking with other leaders and serves as a great kick-off for the ministry year. Christian Reformed Conference Grounds (12253 Lakeshore Drive Grand Haven) is excited to welcome back The Singing Crusaders, in concert on Saturday, August 19. We hope you will come on out and enjoy the music and message of this male chorus comprised of 60 men who all come from the West Michigan area. The doors to the Worship Center will open at 6 pm, the concert will begin at 7 pm. No tickets are needed for any of our summer concerts however a free-will offering will be taken to help offset our music ministry. Be sure and come early and enjoy a delicious Swiss Steak dinner! Your dinner will be complete with sides and beverage. The meal will be served in the Sunshine Room from 5-6:30 pm.

Love INC Float ~ We all love parades and it’s that time of the year to organize the plans to have the Love INC float in the Allegan Fair Parade. We need people who will help decorate, ride on the float, planners and someone to pull the float – our float is the trusty sturdy wagon used for just this purpose. The parade date is September 11. This year’s theme is “Where Memories Are Made”. If you would like to help Love INC in this task, please contact Barry Lucas or Char Van Beek at 269.751.2533.

Wings of Mercy CareAffaire will be held on Saturday, August 26, 8 am – noon at Tulip City Air Service (1581
South Washington Avenue – Holland). The morning will include a pancake breakfast, helicopter and plane rides and many other activities. Come out for a family-filled morning.
