This morning the Park CRC in Holland is having the installation service of Rev. Dan Steen who will serve as their pastor. Welcome to Pastor Dan and his family to Classis Holland.

Pray for those in Texas who are dealing with Hurricane Harvey.

OUR CHURCH ANNOUNCEMENTS

Morning Service ~ This morning, Pastor Jake will lead us in worship as we continue the series of Acts. A time of fellowship will follow the service; join us for refreshments in the fellowship hall.

Evening Worship service will be held at 6 pm at Hamilton Reformed Church. This service will be a time of prayer for our children, youth and the schools they attend.

Community Outdoor Evening Service will be held next Sunday, September 3 at 6 pm at Diamond Spring Wesleyan Church. Bring lawn chair and join for a time of worship.

Newsletter ~ Information for the September newsletter is due today and may be placed in the newsletter box in the narthex.

Senior Breakfast will be held on Wednesday morning, August 30 at 8:30 am at Hawk’s Nest Restaurant. Anyone who would like to join for a time of fellowship is welcome to come.

Church Fall Fellowship will be held on Wednesday, September 13 at the Heath Township Park. Supper will be from 5:30 – 6:30 pm and at 6:30 pm Council vs. the Youth Group in kickball. See the extended announcement page for details.

August 27, 2017

Prayers for Our Schools Service will be held tonight at 6 pm at Hamilton Reformed Church. Join us as we pray together for our community children and youth as they return to school.

Church Newsletter ~ Information for the September newsletter is due August 27 and may be placed in the newsletter box in the narthex.

Sunday School for Pre-K – 5th grade will begin their season on Sunday, September 10.

Small Group Bible Study will meet on Tuesday, September 12 at 7 pm at Phyl Nyboer’s home. Our lesson is from Psalm 73, “Praying Our Doubt”, lesson 10.

Church Fall Fellowship Kick-Off will be held on Wednesday, September 13 at the Hamilton Township Park (by the fire station). Hamburgers and hot dogs will be available. Everyone is asked to bring a dish to share, table service, beverage and lawn chair. The supper will be from 5:30 – 6:30 pm. At 6:30 pm the Council will take on the Youth Group in a game of kick-ball. Come out and support this great night and cheer on your favorite team!

Cadets ~ We have decided to participate in the church kick-off on Wednesday, September 13 starting at 5:30 pm at the Heath Township Park. Our first meeting at the clubhouse will be on September 27 at 6:30 pm after the fellowship dinner. Please see Kurt Dykstra with any questions.

Offering ~ A special offering will be taken for building projects of our church at the morning service of September 17.

Prayer Partners ~ We would like to cover each of our children and youth with prayer throughout the school year. If you would like to be a prayer partner please sign the sheet at the Welcome Table. You will be assigned a child / youth by September 17.

Missing ~ The remote control for the TV and DVD player in the youth room is missing. If you know where it maybe, please contact Zena Walters.

Don’t Miss Out! You are invited to the annual Leadership Training Event hosted by Volunteers in Service, Calvin College and Resonate Global Missions (former CR Home & World Mission). The date is September 12 from 7 – 9 pm held at Calvin College. The evening includes a time of welcome and worship, learning and networking with other leaders and serves as a great kick-off for the ministry year. Christian Reformed Conference Grounds (12253 Lakeshore Drive Grand Haven) invites you to join them at their annual Auction on Saturday, September 2. A plant auction will begin at 9 am, a silent auction will run from 10 am – noon and the live auction will begin at 10 am and go until everything is gone. We have many great items to bid on this year, there will be something for everyone. The proceeds from this year’s auction will support our children and youth ministries and debt reduction. Lunch will be available for purchase. We hope you will join us for this fun day of supporting the Grounds!
