OUR CHURCH ANNOUNCEMENTS

Morning Service ~ This morning we welcome Rev.’s Gil & Joyce Suh and family. The Suh’s are missionaries to Cambodia through World Missions.

Faith Promise Misson Pledge Cards are available in your church mailbox and will be collected next Sunday.

Sunday School for Pre-K – 4th grade will be dismissed during the worship service; Middle and High School youth will meet following the service in the youth room.

Fellowship Feast will be held on Saturday, September 26 from 3- 7 pm. Join your church family for roast pig and side dishes plus there will be games and silly prizes. Come and have a blast at the Fellowhsip Feast with your HCRC family.

Mission Trip Meeting will be held on Sunday, September 27 after the morning service. If you would like to be part of a church mission trip to Logan, West Virginia plan to attend the meeting. We will be discussing dates and cost.

Cadets will meet at the clubhouse on Wednesday, September 23 from 6:30 – 8 pm. All boys in grades 1st – 6th grade are invited to be part of this ministry.

The community churches involved in this series are: Dunningville Reformed, Benthiem Reformed,Overisel Reformed, Overisel Christian Reformed, Hamilton Christian Reformed, Hamilton Reformed, Haven Reformed, Harvest Bible Fellowship, East Saugatuck Christian Reformed, Gibson Christian Reformed, Diamond Springs Wesleyan.

Faith Promise Mission Pledge Cards are available in your church mailbox. This week pray over what your pledge will be for the coming year to support our missionaries. Pledge cards will be received next Sunday. Your missionaries need and appreciate the support through finance, prayer and mail.

Cadets will be having a meeting at the clubhouse on Wednesday, September 23 from 6:30 – 8 pm. All boys in 1st – 6th grade are invited to be part of this fun and exciting group.

Fellowship Feast will be held this Saturday, September 26 from 3 – 7 pm. A supper of roast pig and side dishes will be served. There will also be games and prizes for everyone. Come join us for the Fellowship Feast and have a blast with your Hamilton CRC Family! Also use this opportunity to invite a friend to our church.

Mission Trip Meeting ~ If you are interested in being a part of a Mission Trip to Logan, West Virginia there will be a meeting on Sunday, September 27 following the morning service. We will be considering some dates for this trip and the cost.

Small Group Bible Study will meet on Tuesday, October 6 at 7 pm at the Royal Park Atrium. We will be  discussing lesson 1 from our new study book, Matthew, “What’s In a Name”.

Fellowship Night ~ October 14 will be the start of our first Fellowship Night. For this night we will be having  a Wild Game Potluck. There will be four categories for which to enter for prizes: 1. – Sea; 2 – Air;  3 – Untraditional; 4 – Four Legs.

Cookies are needed for the Community Service at Hamilton High School on Sunday, October 18. Our church is responsible for providing cookies and refreshments for this service. If you would be willing to donate cookies, please sign the sheet in the fellowship hall.

Flu Clinic will be held in the Hamilton area on Tuesday, September 29, 6 – 8 pm at the Overisel Fire Station (142nd Avenue) and on Wednesday, September 30, 9 – 11 am at the Bentheim Fire Station (38th Street). The flu vaccine cost $20 or free with medicare Part B card. Anyone ages 4 and up are able to receive the flu shot.

Life Chain for Right to Life of Holland Area will be held on Sunday, October 4, 2 – 3 pm. in front of Langeland Sterenberg Funeral Home on 16th Street in Holland. Life Chain is a peaceful and prayerful               public witness of pro-life individuals standing for 60 minutes for our nation and for an end to abortion.  Signs to hold during the prayer vigil will be provided.

Harvest Festival will be held at Dunningville Reformed Church on Saturday, October 3. Dinner will be from  5 – 6:30 pm with the auction at 6:30 pm. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Fall Leadership Kick-Off has a new name. It is now the Ephesians 4:12 Fall Conference. Its motto is “to   help churches and individual members to discover, develop and deploy the manifold riches received from Christ and to use them in building up the body of Christ”. The conference will be held on Thursday, October 1 at the Zeeland Christian Middle School, time – 6:15 – 9:30 pm. The keynote speaker will be Rev. Dale Cooper, chaplain of Calvin College. There will be various seminars on topics of Prayer, Evangelism, Worship, Deacons, Elders, Church Renewal, Spiritual Gifts, Spiritual Warfare, Teaching, Youth Ministries, Calling and Discernment, Keys to Mentoring. A brochure with a complete list of seminars is available on the Welcome Table. If you would like to attend, please fill out the registration form and turn it into the church office by September 28. This leadership conference is hosted by Classis Holland, Zeeland and Georgetown.

Love INC Announcements ~

Baking Ministry ~ Are you blessed with the gift of baking? How about working with children? Life Skills in Hamilton needs volunteers willing to bring meals for Thursday evening participants and people willing to help in the Children’s Ministry. Meal providers are on a rotating schedule of every 6-8 weeks. Children’s ministry volunteers can chose to help once a month or limited consecutive weeks. We are also seeking volunteers to come and read with the children. For more information contact Jean at loveincje@frontier.com or 269.751.2533

Parenting Ministry ~ Local agencies are asking the churches to help provide parenting classes and support groups for families that are court/agency ordered to attend parenting classes. Love INC will be offering parenting classes through the Hamilton Life Skills starting October 8. If you could help with mentoring families one-on-one with their parenting needs or facilitates a support group please contact Jean at loveincje@frontier.com or 269.751.2533. Our dream is to remove the barrier to these parents by providing daycare during the time they are attending the class/group. At the moment we don’t have enough children ministry volunteers. If you can help with that part of this program please contact Love INC. at 269.751.2533.

Love INC is looking for a “creative” volunteer that would help us update our newsletter look, prepare mailings and posters and update our website with a new look. We are looking for one or two people who would be willing to work approximately 8 hours per week. Work hours are flexible and is a great opportunity to give back to your community. The “Wood Ministry” of Love INC is looking for a few volunteers to help with cutting and splitting wood on Saturday, September 26 at Hamilton Love INC office. Starting at 8 am and should be finished by noon. Added equipment is needed as well. Contact Jeff Kleinheksel at 269.751.5284 if you can help out.

Large Print Bibles are needed at Love INC for gifting to clients. Can be new or used. Please bring them to the Love INC office at 4621 – 135th Avenue.
