Youth Group ~ We will be meeting on Wednesday, January 17 at 6:30 pm for our Question and Answer Dinner.

Cadets and Gems will be meeting on Wednesday, January 24 at 6:30 pm following the fellowship dinner. These programs are for girls and boys, ages kindergarten – 5th grade. The night includes Bible time and craft.

Chili Cook-Off and Bread Bake-Off has been rescheduled to Wednesday, January 24. This means there is still time to
find the winning chili recipe and bread to enter in the contest. Sign-up at the Welcome Table to enter. Everyone will be judging the entries starting at 5:30 pm in the fellowship hall.

Building Offering ~ There will be a special offering on January 14 and 21 for the parsonage remodeling project. The Building Team is estimating that $5,500 is needed for this project. Prayerfully consider your gift to this project.

Nominations for the offices of elder and deacon will be made at the Council meeting on Monday, January 15. If you have someone you would like considered to either of these offices, give your suggestion to any Elder or Deacon.

Transportation ~ We have a handful of members of this church body that would love to attend church but are unable because of driving restrictions. Could you meet their need? Would you be willing to drive to Holland (or perhaps somewhere else) to pick up and drop off a church member once a month? If so, please let Pastor Jake know.

Youth Group ~ The High School Youth Group is wondering if you would be willing to host them on March 7. You would be offering to open your home and provide refreshments, as well as participate in their regular meeting. If you are interested please contact Pastor Jake.

Positions Open at Holland Deacon’s Conference ~ The Holland Deacon’s Conference is seeking a full-time Home Supervisor to live with and provide support for six adults with intellectual and developmental difference /disabilities in Holland. Interested individuals may request an application packet by phone at 616.494.6050 or email at carrie@hdccrc.org, Also they are seeking a Part-Time Maintenance Person to assist with upkeep and repairs of My Brother’s House and My Sister’s House and the HDC office building. This position is for 2-8 hours a week. Basic knowledge of home maintenance is ideal. This person will work alongside and report to the Maintenance Supervisor. Yearbook 2018 ~ If you would like to order a Christian Reformed Church Yearbook for 2018 sign the order sheet at the Welcome Table. This directory is of churches, classis, pastors, commissioned pastors and CRC ministers for the Christian Reformed Church in North America. Books are $10 and will arrive in February.

Sanctity of Life Sunday Is January 21. Right to Life of Holland Sanctity of Service and March will be held on Monday,
January 22 at Central Avenue CRC in Holland. Guest speaker will be Barb Listing, President of Right of Life of Michigan. Let us take a stand for the unborn and support the work of Right to Life of Holland as they educate people to choose life. Remember this ministry with your prayers and gifts.

Celebrate Life T-shirt Logo Contest ~ Open to Pro-life middle and high school students. Logo must promote life, must
be Life affirming. Winning logo will be showcased in the Right to Life walk / run t-shirts for 2018 and 2019 along with a cash prize. For more information contact the office of Right to Life at 616.396.1037.

GATE Ministry ~ The Gate Youth Center is looking for volunteers to help with renovation of the GATE building. We need
volunteers to help paint, cleaning, framing, and paneling. We are getting the building ready for our opening day on January 30 when our Middle Schoolers start attending the after school program.
