Requested & Expanded Announcements
March 11, 2018

Prayer Service for Crops & Industry will be held tonight at Hamilton Reformed Church at 6 pm. Pastor Ron Lugten will lead this time of prayer.

Fellowship Night will be held this week Wednesday, March 14. A dinner will be served from 5:30 – 6:30 pm in the
fellowship hall. The Council will be serving a pizza meal. Youth Group, Cadets and GEMS will meet from 6:30 – 7:30 pm. Everyone is welcome to join for this fun night. Our next Fellowship Night will be on March 28 which will be a Cook-Out with hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, salad and dessert.

Cadets will meet on Wednesday, March 14 at 6:30 pm in the clubhouse. We will have a Bible lesson and work on merit badges and crafts. Boys, 1st grade – 5th grade are welcome to join us!

Youth Group will be meeting on Wednesday, March 14 at 6:30 – 8 pm in the youth room. We will be studying from Luke 22:1-53, Judas Betrays Jesus.

Ladies Guild Bible Study Spring session begins Tuesday, March 20 at 10 am in the fellowship hall. At this meeting we
will complete our study of “Philippians”. At our next meeting on April 3, we will begin a new study, “Esther, Courage in a Complicated World”. We welcome all ladies to join us. We meet on the first and third Tuesdays of the month, and will conclude on May 15. Ladies who would like to join us may contact the church office (751.8877) to receive a study book.

Church Bowling Night will be held on Saturday, April 7 at 6 pm at Zeeland Bowling Lanes. If you would like to attend this
church event, sign-up at the Welcome Table. The cost is $10 for two games of bowling and shoe rental which can be paid to Zena Walters the night of bowling. If you do not want to bowl you can still come and watch the bowling event and enjoy the fellowship and fun.

Easter Flowers ~ If you would like to place a flower in memory or honor of a loved one or to beautify the sanctuary on Easter, please sign the sheet at the Welcome Table. Flowers should be at church by Saturday noon, March 31.

Empty Egg Cartons are needed for the Food Pantry. These cartons can be placed in the box in the fellowship hall. Thank you for helping us out.

Quest Ministry Fundraiser ~ Dine out on Monday, March 12 from 4 pm – 9 pm at Trestle Stop Restaurant in Hamilton. During this time The Trestle Stop will donate 15% of their gross to Lakeshore Quest Ministries. Bring your family and order from the menu which includes a large variety of food items to please anyone. This evening helps to raise funds so that Special Needs Youth and Purple Heart Veterans can go on a deer hunt at Two Hats Ranch in Big Rapids, Michigan. Come and enjoy supper and invite your family and friends to help out a great cause.

Noisy Offering for March and April will be designated to Hand2Hand Ministry. Through this ministry volunteers
assemble backpacks filled with nutritious food that’s covered with prayer for early childhood children through high school to take home so that they have food for the weekend. This ministry helps children in the Hamilton school system and many other schools in a confidential way. Hunger hurts for children of all ages. Thank you for giving of your “pocket change” so children do not have to go hungry. Delivering hope, weekend food, love and prayers through the Hand2Hand Ministry.

Russ’ Restaurant Fundraiser will be for Right to Life of Holland on Monday, March 19, from 5 pm – close at Russ’ Eastown only. Download a coupon at www.rtlofholland.org or pick up a coupon from the Welcome Table.

GATE Youth Center is in need of cleaning supplies, plasticware and food / snacks. A list of items needed is available on
the Welcome Table. Donations may be brought to the Youth Center (4671 Washing Street, Hamilton) on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s from 8 am – 5 pm. On these afternoons they have been averaging 25 middle school students who come to the center to play games, help with homework and hear about God’s love. Thank you for your prayers and financial support to make the Hamilton Youth Center possible.
