March 18, 2018
Evening Worship Service will be held at Hamilton Reformed Church at 6 pm. Rev. Tom Dekker will lead the worship service. Next Sunday evening Pastor Jake will lead the evening service.
Ladies Guild Bible Study Spring session begins Tuesday, March 20 at 10 am in the fellowship hall. At this meeting we will complete our study of “Philippians”. At our next meeting on April 3, we will begin a new study, “Esther, Courage in a Complicated World”. We welcome all ladies to join us. We meet on the first and third Tuesdays of the month, and will conclude on May 15. Ladies who would like to join us may contact the church office (751.8877) to receive a study book.
Youth Group will be meeting on Wednesday, March 21 at 6:30 – 8 pm in the youth room. We will be studying from Luke 22:54-62, Peter Denies Christ.
Fellowship Night ~ Our next Fellowship Night will be held on Wednesday, March 28. The meal will be hamburgers and
hot dogs on the grill, chips, salad and dessert. Youth Group, Cadets and GEMS will meet from 6:30- 7:30 pm. The adults will view and discuss the DVD of “Israel’s Mission” from That The World May Know Ministry. Everyone is welcome to attend.
Small Group Bible Study will meet on Tuesday, April 3 at 7 pm. Our lesson will be from our study book, End Times, lesson 4.
Church Bowling Night will be held on Saturday, April 7 at 6 pm at Zeeland Bowling Lanes. If you would like to attend this
church event, sign-up at the Welcome Table. The cost is $10 for two games of bowling and shoe rental. If you do not want to bowl you can still come and watch the bowling event and enjoy the fellowship and fun.
Easter Flowers ~ If you would like to place a flower in memory or honor of a loved one or to beautify the sanctuary on Easter, please sign the sheet at the Welcome Table. Flowers should be at church by Saturday noon, March 31.
Empty Egg Cartons are needed for the Food Pantry. These cartons can be placed in the box in the fellowship hall. Thank you for helping us out.
Newsletter ~ Articles and information for the April newsletter are due on March 25 and may be placed in the newsletter box in the narthex.
Hungry For Christ Food Distribution Volunteers ~ The first distribution this year on Haven Church’s campus will be on
Wednesday, April 18, 1 – 2 pm. We will need volunteers for various tasks from 12:30 – 2:30 pm. If you are willing and able, please come or contact MarilynJDykstra@gmail.com or 269.751.8189.
Russ’ Restaurant Fundraiser will be for Right to Life of Holland on Monday, March 19, from 5 pm – close at Russ’ Eastown only. Download a coupon at www.rtlofholland.org or pick up a coupon from the Welcome Table.
Community Support ~ The Bueschel family, Matt, Mary Beth, Lewis and Grace will be taking a step of faith and going
into the mission field. Starting this April they will go to Mexico where the parents, Matt & Mary Beth, will be attending a Discipleship Training School on a (YWAM) Youth With a Mission Campus near Tiguana. American Char in Drenthe (6394 Adams Street) is hosting a benefit dinner to help them on Monday, March 19 from 6 – 8 pm. A $12 minimum donation provides a plate of smoked brisket & pulled pork, three sides and a beverage. 100% of the proceeds will go to the Bueschel Family Mission Fund. Support a Hamilton Middle School Family as they take a step of faith into the mission field.
The Good, The Bad, The Beautiful ~ Teddy, one of the kids in Liz’s class, decides to break-up Liz and Spike’s friendships.
