April 8, 2018
Sunday School class will not meet today, but will resume next Sunday, April 15.
Evening Worship Service will be held at 6 pm at our church for the month of April. Tonight Rev. Tom Dekker will lead
the worship service. Everyone is welcome to these evening services as we worship with our brothers and sisters from Hamilton Reformed Church.
Fellowship Night will be held this Wednesday, April 11. A potluck supper will be from 5:30 – 6:30 pm in the fellowship
hall. Bring a hot and cold dish to share; tableservice and beverage will be provided. Youth Group, Cadets and GEMS will meet from 6:30 – 7:30 pm. The Adults will hear a poverty simulation from Love INC. This evening will conclude are Fellowship Nights for the season.
Youth Group will meet on Wednesday, April 11 at 6:30 pm in the Youth Room. Our lesson will be on the Lord’s Prayer.
Congregational meeting will be held Sunday, April 15 immediately following morning worship. We will be casting of lots
for the office of elder and deacon with a vote of affirmation. If you are unable to attend the meeting absentee ballots of affirmation are available from any elder.
Ladies Guild Bible Study will meet on Tuesday, April 17 at 10 am in the fellowship hall. We will discuss lesson 2, Search
for a Queen, from our study book on Esther Courage in a Complicated World.
Small Group Bible Study will meet on Tuesday, April 17 at 7 pm. We will discuss lesson 5, God’s Timing and Ours.
Community Blood Drive will be held on Thursday, April 19, 12 noon – 6 pm at Hamilton Reformed Church. Each day
about 2,000 blood products are needed by patients in Michigan hospitals. Each donation by a volunteer donor has the potential to save up to three lives. Donating blood is safe, simple and makes a difference to patients and their families. To become a blood donor, you must be at least 17 years-old (16 with parental consent), weigh at least 110 pounds and be in general good health. With your help, we can meet our lifesaving goals.
The GATE Youth Center Community Open House ~ The Gate is having an open house for the community to come and check out our newly renovated building and learn more about what we’ve been doing in our after-school program the past few months. The open house will be on Saturday, April 21 from 9 am – 11 am.
Hungry for Christ Pancake Breakfast will be held on Saturday, April 28 from 8 am – 10:30 am at the HFC warehouse
(4565 – 135th Avenue Hamilton). Come out and enjoy a great breakfast. Donations will be accepted for the ministry. Everyone is welcome to come!
Right to Life of Holland Walk / Run will be held on Saturday, April 21. Registration begins at 9:30 am with the event at
10 am at Lawrence Park in Zeeland. Pledge forms can be downloaded at www.rtlofholland.org. The walk will begin after prayer at 10 am and followed with a light lunch in the pavilion. The walk will be held rain, snow or sleet, but we pray for sun! Join in on this event and show your support of the unborn.
Change of Plans ~ Lucille has great plans for the church’s youth camp, but everything is put on hold with a hospital visit.
