Installation Service ~ This morning Dennis Burke will be installed as Elder and Dean Eding will be installed as Deacon.
We also express our thanks to Tom Tucker, Paul Nyboer, Scott Nyboer and Paul Kloosterman for the three-years of service as Council members.
Sunday School pre Pre-K – 5th grade will meet in the basement at 9:30 am. We will be celebrating our Jewish festival as
we close the Sunday School year. We also want to thank all the teachers and helpers who have been part of the Sunday School program this past year.
Evening Worship Service will be held at 6 pm at Hamilton Reformed Church. Tonight Pastor Ron Lugten of Hamilton
Reformed will lead the worship service. For the month of the May the evening services will be held at Hamilton Reformed Church.
Small Group Bible Study will meet on Tuesday, May 8 at 7 pm. We will discuss lesson 5, “God’s Timing Not Ours” from our study books.
Ladies Guild Bible Study will be meeting on Tuesday, May 15 at 10 am. We will be discussing lesson 3, “For Such a Time as This”. After our lesson we will be having a luncheon at Hawk’s Nest Restaurant. This will conclude our season until Fall.
Youth Group ~ We will NOT meet this Wednesday. Next Wednesday, May 16 we will be going to the Holland Rescue Mission Gateway Center. We will be leaving church at 6 pm.
Church Potluck will be held on Sunday noon, May 20 in the church fellowship hall. Come and celebrate our high school graduates. You are asked to bring a hot and cold dish to share; beverage and table service will be provided.
High School & College Graduates ~ If you will be graduating or have graduated for the 2017 / 2018 school year, please let the church office know so that you can be included in our list of graduates for recognition.
Volunteer Opportunities:
Pancake Breakfast Volunteers ~ Our church will be hosting the Memorial Day Pancake Breakfast on Monday, May 28. We are in need of volunteers to help prepare, serve and clean-up for this community event. If you can help out please sign the sheet on the Welcome Table.
Vacation Bible School ~ Our church is teaming up with Hamilton Reformed Church for Vacation Bible School. This means we need to provide volunteers to help with crafts, activities, decorating and class leaders and helpers. This will be three evenings, Monday, July 23 – Wednesday, July 25, 6 – 8:30 pm, to help kids learn about Jesus. If you would like to help, please sign up at the Welcome Table.
Love INC ~ Do you enjoy running or walking? The Rural Rush Run for Love INC will be held on Saturday, May 19 at Overisel Reformed Church. The 5k Run will begin at 8:30 am with the 1 mile fun run at 9:45 am. The runs start and end at Overisel Reformed Church. The cost for the 5K is $25 with proceeds supporting Love INC. Memorial Day Parade ~ Hamilton’s 91st Memorial Day Parade will be held on Monday, May 27. The parade invites all
Veterans, combat and non-combat to be part of the parade. Rides will be available. Also business floats, community floats, antique cars, tractors, horses, friendly dogs, bikes and military vehicles and more can be part of this grand parade. Line-up for the parade begins at 8 am at the Hamilton High School. The parade begins at 9 am and precedes down 136th Avenue concluding at Riverside Cemetery with a Memorial Service.
