OUR CHURCH FAMILY

Thank You  to everyone who helped and attended the Pancake Breakfast this past Monday.  We are able to bless World Renew and Teen Life on Campus with $965 each.

Margaret Scholten had hip replacement surgery this past Thursday and will continue her recovery at Rest Haven Care Center (40th Street – Holland). Remember her in prayer and with cards and visits.

Pastor Jake & Kris will be returning late Friday night from Israel.  Remember this group in prayer throughout this week.

 

OUR CHURCH ANNOUNCEMENTS

Today ~ This morning Rev. Sarah Farkas will lead us in worship.  She is a graduate of Western Theological Seminary.  Rev. Farkas currently serves as the Lead Chaplain of the Allegan County Corrections Center through Forgotten Man Ministries and is also the pastor of Rectify Church in Allegan.

June Evening Worship Services will be held at 6 pm at Bentheim Reformed Church.  Tonight Mr. Ron Lugten will lead the worship service.  Next Sunday evening the ministry of Love INC will lead the service.

Youth Mission Trip ~ The High School Group and Leaders will be leaving Sunday morning, June 18 at 5 am.  As a church family we will want to cover them in prayer before departing.  Anyone who would like to spend a few minutes in prayer before they depart can come to church at 4:50 am on June 18.  Remember this group as they go out to serve in Staten Island, New York.

Small Group Bible Study will meet on Tuesday, June 13 at 7 pm at Joyce Schaap’s house.  We will discuss lesson 5 – Psalm 51.

Offerings ~ General Fund offering for May 21 was $2,142.00;  Building Fund offering was $105.00.

June 4, 2017

Today we celebrate Pentecost  Sunday and join with our global family of the Christian Reformed World Missions in celebrating God’s global church, ONE church with many ethnicities, languages and cultures.  Through the Holy Spirit’s work, we see God drawing people to Himself as people hear and respond to His call.

Small Group Bible Study will meet on Tuesday, June 13 at 7 pm at Joyce Schaap’s home.  We will discuss lesson 5 from Psalm 51.

Church Movie Nights for the summer will be June 14 & 28; July 12 & 26; August 9 & 23.  Movie titles will be revealed soon and will be shown in the fellowship hall.  Looking forward to this new endeavor with everyone.

CRCNA Synod 2017 of the Christian Reformed Church is being held this week, Friday, June 9 through Thursday, June 15 on the campus of Trinity Christian College in Palos Heights, Illinois.  For updates on Synod go to www.crcna.org/synod.

Pray for Inspire 2017 ~ Inspire 2017 is a conference to connect people from across the 1,000+ churches in the Christian Reformed Church for three days of worship, workshops, speakers and conversation.  As we plan and prepare for this event, happening August 3-5 in Detroit, Michigan, please join us in praying for the event and all who will attend.  This week, please pray for worship team members Greg Scheer and Mary Rodriguez.  Pray for them as they plan worship, help choose songs and make decisions about how to lead in worship and praise at Inspire 2017.  Pray that worship will bring glory to God and bless those worshipping him.

Christian Reformed Conference Grounds welcomes Metropolitan Choir of Praise on Saturday, June 10 performing in the Worship Center.  The concert will begin at 7 pm, doors open at 6.  No tickets are needed for the concert however a free-will offering will be taken to help defray the cost of the music ministry.  A delicious Swiss Steak dinner complete with sides and beverage will be available in the Sunshine Room from 5 – 6:30 pm.  We hope to see you here!

Youth Group ~ Remember to pray for the Hamilton CRC Youth Group has they are making their final plans for the Mission Trip to Staten Island, New York, June 18-24.  A send-off prayer will be held Sunday, June 18 at 4:50 am before they leave at 5 am.
