Christ is Risen! Today we rejoice that Christ arose from the dead and has offered us new life in Him. Pastor Jake will lead us in worship on this Easter Sunday morning. There will be no evening service today.
Small Group Bible Study will meet on Tuesday, April 23 at 7 pm at Berend & Nancy’s home. We will discuss lesson 5, The Mystery Revealed.
Church Breakfast will be held on Wednesday, April 24 at 8:30 am at the Hawk’s Nest Restaurant. Come and join for a great breakfast and fellowship to start your day.
Cadets will meet on Wednesday, April 24 at 6:30 pm at the Cadet Building. We will be doing a service project as part of our Cadet theme, ‘Be a Blessing’. Cadet Sunday will be held on May 5.
GRACE 360 Youth Group will meet on Wednesday, April 24 at 6:30 pm in the youth room. We will have an Earth Day lesson from Genesis 1.
May Newsletter articles and information are due today and may be placed in the newsletter box in the narthex.
Community Vacation Bible School will be held Monday, July 22 – Wednesday, July 24 from 6 – 8:30 pm at Hamilton Reformed Church. If you are available these three nights to help please sign the volunteer sheet at the Welcome Table. There is also a form for volunteers to fill out either online or return to Zena Walters listing what opportunities are available for volunteering.
Hungry for Christ Pancake Breakfast will be held on Saturday, April 27 from 8 am – 10:30 am at the HFC warehouse (4565 – 135th Avenue Hamilton). Come out and enjoy a great breakfast and see what this ministry is about. Donations will be accepted for the ministry. Everyone is welcome to come!
Right to Life Annual Walk / Run will take place on Saturday, April 27 starting at 10 am at Lawrence Park in Zeeland. Registration / pledge sheets are available at the Right to Life office (607 Heritage Court – Holland) or at www.rtlofholland.org. Show your support for the unborn by participating in this walk / run.
Community Event ~ The Harvesters will be hosting a “Build Your Own Sandwich Bar & Pick Your Brain Trivia Night” on Saturday, April 27 at 6 pm at the Gate Youth Center (4671 Washington St – Hamilton). This is a community event for those over 50 years of age. Invite your friends or neighbors to join you. Table service, beverages and all the sandwich fixings will be provided. If you would like you may bring a side dish or dessert to share but not necessary. Come out and have a fun night and get to know some new people. RSVP to Harveters2017@yahoo.com by April 24.
Marriage Night Simulcast will be held on Friday, May 31 from 6 – 10 pm at Overisel Reformed Church. This is the first-ever Marriage Night Simulcast event presented by RightNow Media, and you are invited to attend. Marriage Night is a one-night event for married and engaged couples to laugh and learn as they hear from marriage experts and discover how to honor God through their relationship. The speaker line-up includes Francis & Lisa Chan, Les & Leslie Parrott and comedian Michael Jr. Mark your calendar and plan to attend – it will be worth your time. Tickets are available for $30 per couple and includes a wonderful meal. Childcare will not be available. You must register ahead. Easter Sunday Family Faith Formation Tip ~ Got Legos, Playmobil or other small figures? Use them to reenact Jesus’ resurrection with your kids today. Read the Easter story from John 20:1-18 in a child-friendly version of the bible. Then read it again, slowly, as kids act the story out with figures and experience it in a new way.
Groundwork ~ The Resurrection of Jesus Christ. Matthew’s gospel records the fear and doubts experienced as Jesus’ followers first encounter their risen Lord and Savior. Break the Chain is a powerful documentary film exposing the plight of human trafficking. It is being shown free at the Regent Theater in Allegan on Thursday, April 25 at 2 pm.
