Morning Worship Service ~ This morning Rev. Bill Vis will lead our worship service. Pastor Bill is recently retired after
serving on a pastor internship in Escondido, California and as pastor in Marion, South Dakota; Chicago, Illinois; Fort Lauderdale, Florida; Whittnsville, Massachusetts; Howard City, Michigan and Anchorage Alaska. He has also served on several denominational boards and attended Synod nine times. He and his wife Sandy have two children and three grandchildren, all of whom are their delight.

Evening Worship Service tonight will be held at Hamilton Reformed Church. Rev. Jon Delger of Bentheim Reformed Church will lead the worship service. As a community let us join together in worshipping our God.

Executive and Elders meeting will meet on Monday, August 13 with Council meeting on August 20 . Remember to lift up our elders and deacons in prayer.

Small Group Bible Study will meet on Tuesday, August 21 at 7 pm. We will discuss lesson 11, Making Friends Forever.

Volunteers are needed for the Children’s Worship Ministry this upcoming church season. If you would like to spend time helping our children worship on Sunday morning, please contact Pastor Jake.

Prayer Partners ~ Would you consider making a difference in the life of a child / youth here at Hamilton CRC by being a prayer partner for the 2018/2019 school year? Sign-up at the Welcome Table to become prayer partner. Before the start of school you will be given a name of which you will pray for throughout the school year.

Care Packages ~ Our G.R.A.C.E. 360 Youth Group is collecting items to assemble Homeless Care Packages. They will be using the care packages local and also for their Colorado Mission Trip in June 2019. They will be collecting these items throughout the school year. A list of items needed is available on the Welcome Table.

Youth Garage Sale will be held on Saturday, August 25. If you have gently used items to donate to this sale place them in the classroom in the church basement. The proceeds from this sale will go towards their mission trip to Colorado in June 2019.

Back-to-School items may be placed in the “school box” through today. These items will be given to Love INC to distribute to children of Allegan County to begin a new school year.
Hungry for Christ Food Distribution will be held at Haven Reformed Church on Wednesday, August 15, 12:30 – 1:30 pm. Volunteers are needed from 11:30 am – 1:30 pm.

Community Blood Drive will be held on Thursday, August 16 from 12 noon – 5:45 pm at Hamilton Reformed Church. To schedule an appointment, log onto redcrossblood.org (sponsor code: hamiltonreformd) or call 1.800.Red CROSS. Appointments are not necessary. Help make someone whole again by donating blood.

Concert ~ The New Legacy Project, formerly the Blackwood Legacy will be in concert at the Hamilton Reformed Church on Friday, August 24 at 7 pm. This group combines the best of country gospel, traditional and newer southern gospel, with today’s popular music while staying true to the Gospel Message. The Nashville-based group is known for their flawless harmonies, comedy, and homespun humor. Join for a memorable time of live music, fellowship and fun! Admission is free and a love offering will be received. Listen for their new radio single “God of the Empty Grave” and visit them on Facebook or at www.New LegacyProject.com.

Prayer Service for Schools will be held on Sunday, August 26 at 6 pm at Hamilton Reformed Church. This service will focus primarily upon praying for the Hamilton area school district, but all are welcome to attend. If you would like to participate in this service by leading a prayer please let Pastor Jake know at 616.437.0288 or email pastor@hamiltoncrc.com to volunteer or questions.

Ministry ~ Has God gifted you with a heart for people that are hurting? No special talents or education just a passion to
serve God by walking alongside someone who needs encouragement and a reminder that they are not alone. Or if you want to learn about the culture of poverty come to the Mentor / Volunteer training on August 20 and 27 at the Love INC Hamilton office from 6 – 8 pm. Choosing Hope in Suffering ~ When we have every right to lament and despair, what is the source for our continued hope? Christian Reformed Conference Grounds (12253 Lakeshore Dr., Grand Haven) is excited to welcome the Hope Heralds in concert on Saturday, August 18. Everyone is welcome to come and hear this men’s chorus as they share the love and grace of God through song! The doors to the Worship Center open at 6 pm, the concert begins at 7 pm. No tickets are needed however a free-will offering will be taken to help offset the music ministry. Come early and enjoy a delicious Swiss Steak dinner available in the Sunshine room from 5 – 6:30 pm.
