January 27, 2019
Evening Service at 6 pm will be led by Rev. Adam Van Der Stoep of Hamilton Reformed Church. Join us in worshiping
together with our brothers and sisters from Hamilton Reformed Church. For the month of February the evening services will be held at Hamilton Reformed Church. Next Sunday evening Rev. Barry Lucas will lead the service.
Church Breakfast is held this Wednesday, January 30 at 8:30 am at Hawk’s Nest Restaurant. Come and enjoy a great breakfast and some fellowship to begin your morning.
GRACE 360 Youth Group will meet on Wednesday, January 30 at 6:30 pm in the youth room. Our lesson will be on Compromise from Philippians 1:27.
Cadets will meet on Wednesday, January 30 at 6:30 pm at the clubhouse. We will be having a special fun night at the clubhouse. Remember the Heritage Snow Derby will be held on Saturday, February 9.
Worship Services ~ Next Sunday morning Rev. Marvin Hofman will lead us in worship. Rev. Hofman is part of Classis Holland. The evening worship services will be held at Hamilton Reformed Church at 6 pm.
Fundraiser ~ The GRACE 360 Youth Group is planning a Valentine Murder Mystery Dinner & Raffle on Wednesday, February 13 and everyone is invited. A supper will be served starting at 5:30 pm. For details of this fun night see the invitation at the Welcome Table and plan to come out and support our youth group. The proceeds from this night will be towards their mission trip this summer to Colorado.
Newsletter ~ Information for the February church newsletter is due today and may be placed in the newsletter box in the narthex.
Prayer Opportunities at Hamilton CRC are each Sunday morning before the worship service in the pastor’s office and Wednesday mornings at 7 am in the sanctuary. It is a time to come together to pray for HCRC and this church family and other needs.
Love INC ~ It’s that time of year for the Holland Sentinel Best-of-Best awards and we would love to have you nominate the Heart-to-Heart Store. Go to https://hollandsentinel.gatehousecontests.com/2018-Best-of-theBest/ to nominate the Heart-to-Heart Store your favorite Thrift Store which is located under retail shopping. The top five businesses with the most number of nominations in each section will move on to the Best-of-the-Best voting. You can nominate us each day until February 8.
Love INC Volunteers ~ Love INC has a growing need for volunteers to help with the LIFE Skills children’s program on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Area of needs are: story teller; craft teachers, elementary child care provider; nursery child care provider, reader (reads one-on-one with students); meal provider for children (15-20 children weekly). All of these volunteer commitments can be weekly, bi-weekly, monthly or once a 12-week session. You can choose what fits your schedule. Family Faith Formation ~ Make faith formation a part of birthday celebrations this year. Give thanks to God for the birthday person and share some of the ways that person blesses your family and others. Talk about the unique gifts God has given him or her. Or pass birthday candles out to family members and ask them to name one thing they love about the birthday person before placing the candle on the cake. Affirmation is the best birthday gift of all! If: Gathering for women of all ages will be held on Friday, February 8 and Saturday, February 9 at First Reformed Church (148 Central Avenue, Zeeland). This event is where women come together to worship and glorify God and grow in their relationships with other women. More information is available at the Welcome Table.
