Kid’s Korner ~ When Liz uses the expression, “Oh, geez!” Grandpa uses the occasion to teach the kids what it means to honor God’s name. Subscribe for free at getkidscorner.com. Check out the website for Bible activities and crafts.

The Flood ~ Often called Noah’s Ark, this biblical story reveals much about God and his response to our sin. Join Groundwork in the study of this familiar story from Genesis 6-8 to remind ourselves about the grave reality of sin, see the true heart of God and witness the dawning of his grace. Listen at GroundworkOnline.com.

Family Faith Formation Tip ~ Do your kids look forward to Sundays? Make the Sabbath a special day in ways that are
meaningful to them. Serve a favorite meal before or after worship. Light a special candle. Take a picnic to the park. Try setting the alarm a bit earlier to minimize the getting–ready stress before worship. Gather at night for a game and a time of family prayer to start the week. Are You a Hero? Definition – a person who is admired for great or brave acts or fine qualities. Released Time is looking
for Police Officers, Firefighters, EMT’s, Military, Coast Guard, Paramedic’s, Cancer Survivors… and the list goes on. Each month (November – March) we will be talking about a different Bible hero in Released Time. Our hope is to have a Hero of Today come and visit our sessions and give us a moment to thank them for the strength, courage and bravery they show us. We would also love to pray for you. This would only take a few moments of your day and there are multiple different times you can choose from. If you would like to know more about being one of our Hero’s please contact Holly, director of Released Time at ham.el.rt@gmail.com.
