 OUR CHURCH FAMILY

Hazel Geurink suffered a broken pelvic this past week and is recovering at a rehab facility.  She will also celebrate her 89th birthday on Tuesday, June 21.  Remember her with birthday and recovery wishes.

Zena Walters will be having a chemo treatment tomorrow.  This will be her last treatment until her surgery in August.  Pray that these treatments have been effective and surgery can be as planned.

Sympahty ~ We extend sympathy to Wes & Sandy Lemmen in the passing of Sandy’s father, Robert Strabbing who passed away last Friday and to Margaret Scholten in the death of her brother-in-law Gradus Scholten who passed away on Monday.

Let us love one another, for love is from God and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God.”  (I John 4:7-8).  We cannot express enough how much we appreciate the love and support we received from you during and after the recent loss of our daughter.  The prayers, flowers, meals, visits, hugs and cards we received truly demonstrate God’s love.  We are truly blessing

Evening Service will be held tonight at 6 pm at Bentheim Reformed Church.

Mission Team of 32 left Saturday morning  for Logan, West Virginia.  Keep this team in prayer throughout the week.

Community Garden Work Night ~  Join the garden crew on Wednesday evenings at 6:30 to help weed the garden and enjoy a time of fun.

 Church Custodian ~ Due to the upcoming retirement of our current custodian, Fred Mireles, our church is currently seeking anyone who would like to consider applying for this paid position.  If you are interested in applying contact any member of the Building & Grounds Team or a Council member.

Church Mission Trip ~ The team of 32 left yesterday morning to go to Logan, West Virginia.  Tomorrow they will begin with the various work projects.  Pray for them throughout this week and as they will return to Michigan on Saturday, June 25.    Next Sunday morning, June 26, the team will be giving a report of their experience with their work among the people in Logan.

Dishes ~ A variety of dishes have accumulated in the fellowship hall.  Please check to see if any of these  dishes may belong in your kitchen.

Newsletter ~ Articles for the July / August Observer are due next Sunday, June 26 and may be placed in the  newsletter box in the narthex.

Cards ~ If you would like to send a card of sympathy to Ruth Lemmen in the passing of her grandfather, you may place a card in the basket in the fellowship hall until June 26.

Directory ~ A new church address directory will be printed soon.  Your help is needed to proof your address information.  Please take a moment and see if any changes (cell phone, land-line, email, address) needs to be changed.  The proof pages are in the fellowship hall.

Love INC ~ Please pray for a member of the Hamilton Community.  There is a 62-year-old gentleman from a Hamilton community congregation that had a kidney transplant 29 years ago, unfortunately that kidney is functioning at 16 percent and is failing.  We are asking God to provide a donor who has Type O blood, preferable under 65 years of age and no history of diabetes to provide this gift of love.  Please pray for this family during this trying time and if God is moving you to find out more information regarding what it means to be a donor please email Pastor Steve at Harvest Christian Fellowship at steveleinbach@hotmail.com.

Addresss ~ Right to Life of Holland has moved.  Their new address is 607 Heritage Court, Holland, MI (directions 24th Street West of US 31).

Concert ~ The Christian Reformed Conference Grounds welcomes Voices of Victory Quartet in concert on June 25 at 7 pm.    A dinner will be served from 5 – 6:30 pm in the Sunshine Room.  No tickets are needed, but a free-will offering will be received.  Everyone is welcome to attend.

CRCNA Synod 2016 of the Christian Reformed Church has been meeting this past week at Calvin College and concluded this past Friday.  Many decisions were made throughout this week for the Christian Reformed Church.  It was approved to appoint Mr. Shiao Chong as new editor of The Banner.

Missions ~ World Renew, an agency of the Christian Reformed Church in North America, is seeking a Team Leader for East Africa based in Kenya or Uganda with a proven track record of building collaborative teams under unified vision of community transformation.  This person(s) will provide leadership in a region with clear country level priorities, thematic foci, and a developed strategy.  To further leverage programming in the region, they will represent World Renew to external organizations and institutions while collaborating with other teams in the organization and denominational agencies.  For more information go to www.crcna.org.  Keep World Renew in your prayers as they seek out an individual for this position.
