OUR CHURCH FAMILY

Jaclyn Driesenga fractured her tailbone this past week. Pray that she may have a speedy and complete healing.

Zena Walters will begin aggressive chemotherapy treatment on Monday. Please pray specifically that her body will respond well to the chemotherapy and that the turmors will shrink.

OUR CHURCH ANNOUNCEMENTS

Morning Service will be led by Pastor Jake. Sunday School for Pre-K – 4th grade will meet during worship time; 5th – 12th grade will meet after the service.

Evening Service will be led by Pastor Jake. Our offering will be for World Hunger. As we observe World Hunger this month, please prayerfully consider sharing your blessings so that others will not go hungry. Your gifts will be used to combat poverty, disaster and injustice around the world in Jesus name.

Fellowship Night Supper will be held Wednesday, November 11. We will be having a Thanksgiving supper of turkey, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes and dessert. The meal will be served from 5:30 – 6:30 pm.

Hymn Sing ~ Next Sunday evening at 6 pm we will have a Thanksgiving Hymn Sing. Join us as we sing the songs of thanks. Kris Porter and Cindy Boes will lead us in this time of singing.

Ladies Guild Bible Study will meet on Tuesday, November 17 at 10 am. We will study lesson 5 – The Man Who Wouldn’t Quit. We will meet in the Council Room.

Small Group Bible Study will meet on Tuesday, November 17 at 7 pm at Royal Park Atrium.   We will discuss Episodo 2 & 3, Matthew 4 on pages 29-33 in our study books.

Love INC Pantries ~ During the month of November our church is collecting items for the Food, Personal Needs and Baby Pantries. Your items may be placed on the tables in the fellowship hall until November 29.

Fellowship Night will be held on Wednesday, November 11. A Thanksgiving meal will be served from 5:30– 6:30 pm in the fellowship hall. Join us for a meal of turkey, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes and dessert. Everyone is welcome in this time of giving thanks for what we have been blessed with.

Noisy Offering ~ The Sunday School children are Sponsoring-A-Family through Love INC for their Christmas Project.  Your “pocket change” collected during the morning service will provide Christmas gifts and a Christmas dinner.

Love INC Pantries ~ For the month of November our church is collecting for the Food Pantry (HCRC); Personal Needs Pantry (Hamilton Ref.) and the Baby Pantry (Love INC). A list of needed items is included in the November newsletter.

Thanksgiving Hymn Sing will be held next Sunday evening, November 15 at 6 pm. Kris Porter along with her mother, Cindy Boes will lead us in singing the songs of Thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving ~ A Thanksgiving Service will be held on November 26 at 9:30 am. At this service you are invited to bring your offering of thanks. A list a ministries for you to consider is included in the November newsletter. Envelopes for this offering are available on the Welcome Table and in the pew racks.

Correction ~ The Congregational Meeting will be held on Wednesday, December 9 at 6:30 pm following the fellowship supper.

Christian Reformed World Missions Calendars for 2016 are available on the Welcome Table. Each month  the calendar features a country for you to pray for.

Missionary Reception ~ Members of our congregation are cordially invited by our missionary Mike Johnson and Ascending Leaders to an afternoon reception in celebration of ten years of ministry on Wednesday, November 18, 2:30- 4:30 pm in the Grove reception room of North Street CRC in Zeeland. Refreshments and Fellowship will be from 2:30 – 3:30 pm. A presentation by Mike Johnson, including interviews with a few churches Ascending Leaders has helped is from 3:30 – 4:30. RSVP to our church office by calling 269.751.8877 or email hcrc3596@gmail.com before Monday noon, November 16 your intent to attend. You are also invited to the Disciple-Forward workshop for church leaders conducted by Mike at the same location in the morning from 8:30 – 11:45. Churches are most helped when pastors and leaders attend together. You can register for the workshop at Eventbrite.com – search for “Discipleforward Zeeland”.

Community Craft Time will be held Tuesday, November 10 at 6:30 pm and Saturday, November 14 at 10 am at the Hall in Overisel.   We will be learning how to make chalkboard signs. All are invited for a fun time to get together as friends – old or new. Sign up and questions can be answered by going to overiselhall@gmail.com. Cost is $10 per person. This event is hosted by Overisel Reformed Church.

Adopt-A-Family for Christmas is now open for those needing assistance with Christmas.   Love INC in partnership with Dunningville Reformed Church, will be sponsoring a Christmas Shopping Day on December 12 at Dunningville RC (2559 M-40 N. Allegan). Struggling families with children in Allegan and Hamilton areas are encouraged to apply before November 20. If you need help providing for Christmas, please contact the Love INC office at 269.751.2533.
