The GATE After School Ministry is re-opening this week Tuesday, November 11. We are anticipating God’s  blessing on another year of forming relationships with the Hamilton community Middle School-aged  students (6th – 8th grade).  If God is nudging you to volunteer, supply snacks or craft supplies contact  Betty Wabeke (269.455.8978 or 269.650.5115).  Pray for another awesome year.  God is Good!

Youth Auction ~ The Youth Group will be having an auction on Wednesday, November 12 to benefit their   mission trip in June of 2015 to Logan, West Virginia.  A supper of turkey breast, ham, mashed potatoes dinner rolls and salad will be served from 5:30 – 6:30 pm with the auction starting at 6:30 pm in the          fellowship hall.  Come out for a fun night of fellowship and to support our youth.

Men’s Breakfast will be held on Saturday, November 15 from 8 -9 am in the church fellowship hall.  All men  of any age are welcome to come and enjoy a great breakfast.

Ladies Guild Bible Study will meet on Tuesday, November 18.  We will discuss lesson 5 – Paul in Ephesus.

Thanksgiving Service will be held on November 27 at 9:30 am.  Thanksgiving offering envelopes are  available in the pew racks and on the Welcome Table.   A list of various ministries for you to consider with your Thanksgiving offering is available on the Welcome Table.

Noisy Offering ~ The Sunday School “Noisy Offering” taken during the morning service will help provide    Christmas gifts for the Love INC Adopt-a-Family project.  Help them provide these gifts for this family by  giving your extra change.

Love INC Pantries ~ Our church will be collecting items for the food, baby and personal needs pantries of          Love INC.  You may place you items on the table in the fellowship through November 27.  A list of   needed items is available on the Welcome Table.

Winter Coats ~ Love INC is in need of winter coats for the clients in Pullman of various sizes Women’s  (Small, Medium, Large, 1X large, 2X large, 3X large); Men’s (Medium, Large, X Large, 2X Large, 3X Large, 42 Long) Girl’s (6 months, 18 months, 24 months, 8, 10, 12, 16/18)  Boy’s (18 months, 2, 6, 8/10, 12,             16/18).  Coats can be new or gently used and may be brought to the Hamilton Love INC.

Jail Ministry ~ Has God blessed you with a heart to reach people in jail?  The Allegan County Jail and    Forgotten Man Ministries has asked Love INC to increase their presence through the LIFE Skills Program.  LIFE Skills’ classes are being taught in the Faith Pod.  Male and Female volunteers willing to lead these        classes are needed.  Commitment is two hours once a week for 10 consecutive weeks.  A Faith Pod   consists of 12 inmates who are part of the reentry program:  the same 12 inmates stay together, attend   classes all day, every day of the week.  Recidivism (measurement of inmates being rearrested within 3    years of release) among inmates without the Faith Pod is 67.8%, while recidivism of inmates who       participated in Faith Pods is 27%.  God’s blessing over proven efforts!  Love INC will train you and   provide the material.  Call Jean Eding at 269.751.2533 or email at loveincje@frontier.com for more  information.

Family Fire is an online community exploring Spirit-led family, marriage, parenting, in-laws, blended  families and intimacy.  Find encouraging articles and devotions at familyfire.com.

Prayers ~ Today we are asked to pray for  the Persecuted  Church.  The terrorism of ISIS and other extremist  campaigns have targeted our brothers and sisters in Christ in Iraq, Syria and throughout the region.      Other religious minorities and moderate Muslims have also been targets of the ongoing violence in the  region.  Join in prayer for those affected by the violence.

World Missions ~ Thank you HCRC for your gifts to World Missions.  A few months ago, a friend of CRWM  missionaries in West Africa was beat up by two young men.  Recently, soldiers came to this man’s house  and offered him the opportunity to “punish” the young men, who had now been caught.  But their               friend stood firm in his faith and refused.  Instead he said that he forgives and is praying for these men.

Opportunity ~ Ministry Leaders in Mexico are expanding God’s kingdom.  There is an opportunity to serve  alongside these leaders and transform communities through the Gospel.  Pray that someone has a heart  for the grassroots ministry with Christian Reformed World Missions.
