OUR CHURCH ANNOUNCEMENTS
Today’s Worship Services will be led by Mr. Jake Porter. We will begin our Advent journey as we prepare for the birth of Jesus in Bethlehem. Next Sunday Pastor Jake will lead our morning service and Rev. Ron De Young our evening worship service.
Community Christmas Carol Service will be held tonight at 6 pm at Hamilton Reformed Church. Mr. Jack Ten Cate will lead us in singing the songs of the season.
Congregational meeting will be held on Wednesday, December 3 at 7 pm. The General Budget for 2015 will be explained and voted on. A copy of the budget is available in your church mailbox. All professing members, 18 years and older, are encouraged to attend. If you are unable to attend, absentee ballots are available from any elder.
Thanksgiving Offering ~ We give praise to God for the faithful support of HCRC through the Thanksgiving offering of $13,693. We have a great God who provides for our needs
Christmas Fellowship Night will be held on Wednesday, December 10. Supper will be served from 5:30- 6:30 pm. At 6:30 pm Tim Vander Zwaag will share his story and testimony. Invite a friend to this special evening.
Open House ~ Pastor Jake & Kris will be having a Christmas Open House at the parsonage on Thursday, December 11 from 6-9 pm. Everyone is invited to stop in for Christmas refreshments.
Sunday School children will present their Christmas program, Always and Forever Love”, on December 14 at the 9:30 am service.
Weekly Prayer Opportunities are held every Sunday morning,
9-9:15 am and Wednesday mornings, 7 – 8 am in the church sanctuary. Anyone is welcome to come and pray.

Sunday School kids, Pre-K – 8th grade will be dismissed at 9:45 am for Sunday School and will be meeting until 11:30 am to practice November 30 and December 7 for our Christmas program. We will also be practicing on Saturday, December form 9:45 – 11:30 am.
Ladies Guild Bible Study will meet on Tuesday, December 2. We will discuss lesson 5 – Paul in Ephesus. We will also take a Love Offering at our meeting. Our next meeting will be December 16 and we will also have a Christmas luncheon at Hawk’s Nest Restaurant.

Fellowship Night ~ Our next Fellowship Night will be held on December 10. A Christmas dinner will be served from 5:30 – 6:30 pm. Our program at 6:30 pm will be given by Tim Vander Zwaag. Tim will share his testimony and story of suffering a severe farming accident and how God brought Tim and wife Teresa through this. Invite a friend to join for this evening.
December Newsletter is available in your church mailbox. Included in this newsletter are updates from missionaries.
Noisy Offering collected during the morning service helps the Sunday School children purchase Christmas gifts for their Love INC Adopt-a-Family project. Your “pocket change” is an encouragement to our youth.
Christmas Card Mailboxes for our missionaries and church family who are unable to worship with us each Sunday are located in the fellowship hall. Cards may be placed in the special mailboxes until December 14. Take time to send greetings to these special people. A Christmas card list is available in the December newsletter.
Christmas Card Volunteers are needed to deliver Christmas cards to our church family. If you would be willing to deliver a package of cards and bring Christmas greetings to some of our home-bound friends let Lori know in the church office.
Love INC ~ You feasted Thanksgiving, You conquered Black Friday, You shopped Small Business Saturday, You worshipped and regrouped on Sunday, You networked Cyber Monday, It’s time for… Giving Tuesday! Please consider Love INC on December 2, a global day dedicated to giving back.
Adopt-a-Family ~ As you gathered with family members on Thanksgiving day and make plans for Christmas, please consider sponsoring a struggling family this Christmas season. The Sponsor-A-Family for Christmas is in need of sponsors. Currently we have 8 families waiting to be sponsored and a growing waiting list. Your generosity is much needed and appreciated. The Live Nativity is a wonderful way to celebrate the Christmas season for the family and can be seen at The Critter Barn (9275 Adams – Zeeland). A schedule of hours is available at the Welcome Table.

Webinar ~ A free webinar will take place on December 3 entitled “Everybody Serves: The Picture Needs Each Piece” presented by Mark Stephenson and Shellie Power. This webinar will teach ways to recognize that every individual has been created with gifts that are needed by the body of Christ. For registration and details go to crcna.org/webinars.
