OUR CHURCH FAMILY
John Judge passed away on Wednesday afternoon, December 3 following multiple health issues. We remember Heather, Audrey and John V Judge, Corrie Judge and Dave & Jennifer Dietrich in prayer through this difficult time. “Even though I walk through the valley of death, I will fear no evil for you are with me.” May God give his comfort and grace to this family.
The visitation will be held today from 1 – 4 pm in the church fellowship hall. The funeral service will be Monday, December 8 at 11 am at church.
OUR CHURCH ANNOUNCEMENTS
Morning Worship Services will be led by Mr. Jake Porter. We are continuing on the Advent journey to Bethlehem.
Evening Worship Service will be led by Rev. Ron De Young. Next Sunday evening Rev. Ron Lugten will lead us in worship.
Congregational meeting was held this past Wednesday evening. The general budget for 2015 was passed. Continue to remember the finances of Hamilton CRC in your prayers
Christmas Fellowship Night will be held on Wednesday, December 10. Supper will be served from 5:30- 6:30 pm. At 6:30 pm Tim Vander Zwaag will share his story and testimony. Invite a friend to this special evening.
Open House ~ Pastor Jake & Kris will be having a Christmas Open House at the parsonage on Thursday, December 11 from 6-9 pm. Everyone is invited to stop in for Christmas refreshments.
Sunday School children will present their Christmas program, “Always and Forever Love”, on Sunday, December 14 at the 9:30 am service.
Weekly Prayer Opportunities are held every Sunday morning,
9-9:15 am and Wednesday mornings, 7 – 8 am in the church sanctuary. Anyone is welcome to come and pray.

December 7, 2014
Sunday School kids, Pre-K – 8th grade will be dismissed at 9:45 am for Sunday School and will be meeting until 11:30 am to practice for our Christmas program. We will also be practicing on Saturday, December 13 from 9:45 – 11:30 am.
Fellowship Night ~ Our Fellowship Night will be held this Wednesday, December 10. A Christmas dinner will be served from 5:30 – 6:30 pm. Our program at 6:30 pm will be given by Tim Vander Zwaag. Tim will share his testimony and story of a severe farming accident and how God brought Tim and wife Teresa through this. Invite a friend to join for this evening.
Bake Sale ~ During the Wednesday Night Fellowship supper there will be a Bake Sale to benefit the Judge Family. Lots of Christmas goodies will be available for a donation.
Always and Forever Love Christmas program will be given by the Sunday School children and youth next Sunday, December 14 at 9:30 am. Join with us as we are reminded that no matter how many times God’s heart is broken by us, he will Always and Forever Love Us!
Ladies Guild Bible Study will meet on Tuesday, December 16. We will discuss lesson 7 – To Rome. Following our lesson we will have a Christmas luncheon at Hawk’s Nest Restaurant.
Christmas Cards ~ Reminder your Christmas cards for our missionaries and those of our church family who are unable to worship with us each week may be placed in the Christmas mailboxes until December 14. Let’s each take time to remember these people with a special Christmas greeting.

Noisy Offering collected during the morning service helps the Sunday School children purchase Christmas gifts for their Love INC Adopt-a-Family project. Your “pocket change” is an encouragement to our youth.
Christmas Card Volunteers are needed to deliver Christmas cards to our church family. If you would be willing to deliver a package of cards and bring Christmas greetings to some of our home-bound friends let Lori know in the church office.
The Live Nativity is a wonderful way to celebrate the Christmas season for the family and can be seen at The Critter Barn (9275 Adams – Zeeland). A schedule of hours is available at the Welcome Table.
Kid’s Corner ~ Christmas is the celebration of the greatest gift ever given by God – His Son Jesus Christ. The word “advent” has a Latin origin meaning “coming toward”. Calvin Symposium on Worship will be held on January 29-31, 2015 at Calvin College and Calvin Theological Seminary. This year’s theme in based on 2 Corinthians. To register for the Symposium go to worship.calvin.edu/symposium.
