 Lisa Byker (daughter-in-law of Pastor John & Kathy) has stage 4 brain cancer and is having difficulties with tumor-related symptoms.  Your prayers are appreciated.

Congratulations to Ardella & Stan Gates on the birth of a granddaughter, Alse Ardella Boeve born on January 19.   We give praise to God for this precious granddaughter for Ardella!

Thank You to Pastor Jake and the congregation for the Christmas cards I received.  It was a very special season and I appreciated the Christmas greetings very much.

  OUR CHURCH ANNOUNCEMENTS

 This morning  Pastor Jake will continue with the Community Q-Place series focusing on The Art of Prayer (Ephesians 6:10-20; John 6:44-45).  Next Sunday Rev. Doug Baker of Bentheim Reformed Church will lead us in worship as part of the Community Pulpit Exchange with the focus on The Art of Loving.

We will be having a Community Service at Hamilton High School on February 22 at 9:30 am with Mr. Jeff Kline from Q-Place Ministry as the guest speaker.

Chili Cook-Off & Bread Bake-Of will be held on Wednesday, January 28.  You can still enter the fun event by signing up in the fellowship hall today.  Eveyrone is invited to come Wednesday night from 5:30 – 6:30 pm to taste all the entries and decided who has the best chili and bread from Hamilton CRC.  The traveling trophy will be presented to the top votes!

Newsletter articles for the February Observer are due today and may be placed in the newsletter box in the narthex.

Small Group Bible Study will meet on Tuesday, February 3 at 7 pm at the Atrium.  We will disucss lesson 18, Following God’s Lead.

Baby Basket ~ Your welcome gifts / cards for Charlie Elizabeth, infant daughter of Renae Turner, may be  placed in the baby basket through February 8.  Let’s give her a warm welcome.

Chili Cook-Off and Bread Bake-off ~ Have you signed-up to enter your chili and/or bread in the annual event  held in the fellowship hall this Wednesday, January 28?  Sign-up today in the fellowship hall.   Everyone is invited to come Wednesday, January 28 starting at 5:30 pm to taste all the entries and  decide who has  the best chili and bread.

Newsletter ~ The February Observer articles are due today and may be placed in the newsletter box in the narthex.

Pinewood Derby Race Challenge~  The Cadets will be having their annual pinewood derby race on Wednesday, February 25 at 6:30 pm in the fellowship hall.  The Cadets would love for you to be part of  the action!  There are extra car kits and building guidelines available in the fellowship hall for anyone in the congregation who would like to build a race car and race in the event.  The Cadets challenge you to race them!  Sign-up in the fellowship hall.  Save the date as we will need plenty of spectators!

Seminar Weekend with Rev. Ray Vander Laan will be held in our church on Friday, March 20 (7-8:30 pm), Saturday, March 21 (9 am – 4 pm) and Sunday, March 22 (9:30 am worship service).  You must register  to attend this weekend and registration is limited due to seating.  Registration forms are available on the  Welcome Table.  This weekend is open to everyone – invite your friends.   Together we will journey            through the world of Jesus.

Cookies ~ Our church has been asked to provide cookies for the Community Service on February 22 at Hamilton High School.  If you would be willing to donate home-made or store-brought cookies please   sign the sheet in the fellowship hall.

Open House ~ You are invited to an open house at Love INC on Wednesday, January 28 from 6 – 8 pm in  the Community Room (4621 – 135th Avenue)  to say farewell to Sue Flowers  as she begins her new career endeavor.  Sue’s  leadership and service has been a blessing to the Love INC ministry for the last 14 years as she served as a volunteer and staff member.

Furniture Ministry ~ Sprucing up for Spring?  The Furniture Ministry (sponsored by Ebenezer Reformed   Church) for Love INC needs inventory!  Sofas, chairs, beds, kitchen tables / chairs, end tables and    working lamps are needed.  Consider the condition:  Would you feel good about giving it to someone?           Deliver to the warehouse behind the Hamilton Love INC office, Monday – Friday, 9 am – 3pm and  Wednesday 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm.  Questions call 751.2533.

Lakeshore Little People ‘s Place Preschool Open House ~ Come explore our preschool options for three and four year olds.  Our preschool programs offer academic curriculum, religious instruction,   developmental assessments and progress reports.  The Great Start Readiness Program offers free full day preschool for those that meet income and age requirements.  The open house will be held on  February 2 from 5 – 7 pm at Hamilton Reformed Church and February 2 from 6 – 8 pm at Hamilton     South (by Trestle Stop Restaurant)

Thank you so much for your gift for the work of Back to God Ministries International.  We are so grateful for  75 years of ministry for Back to God Ministries.  God has led us on a wonderful path from one program on one station on December 17, 1939 – to ministries in ten languages using multiple media sources re blessed that you are a faithful partner with us on this journey.  We don’t know what the future holds.  We don’t know where God will lead us     in the    next 75 years.  But we do know that God is in control, and we await His timing and His leading.  Please pray with us for strength and wisdom as we seek His will.
