Carol DeKorte~Eding had shoulder surgery on Friday. Remember her in prayer for a complete and speedy recovery so that she will be able to go to Washington to see her new-born triplet grandchildren soon.
Zena Walters anticipates having surgery on March 8 to remove the right side of her liver. Following the surgery she will recuperate and continue with chemo followed by another surgery to remove the remaining tumors.
Harlan Meiste is a patient at Holland Hospital undergoing test and medicine adjustments.
Bessie, a Love INC food pantry client, has asked for our prayers as she has stage 2 cancer and is receiving chemo treatments.
Margaret Scholten’s brother-in-law, Mike Boerman, passed away on Monday. Remember this family in prayer.
Your prayers are much appreciated for these items of concern along with many others needs to bring before the Lord.

OUR CHURCH ANNOUNCEMENTS
Communion Service will be held on Sunday morning, February 14. At this service we will also celebrate the baptism and profession of faith of Judi Rice and Matt Thies and the profession of faith of Nicole Oetman. We look forward to this celebration.
Sunday School Classes will meet. Pre-K – 4th grade will meet during the worship service; middle school – high school will meet following worship. Kids, remember your attendance in class is to important to the leaders.

Valentine Dinner hosted by the High School Youth Group will be held on Wednesday, February 10. A Valentine supper will be served from 5:30- 6:30 pm followed by entertainment. Mark your calendar for this special night. The proceeds from this evening will be for the Youth Mission Trip 2017 to New York.
Fellowship Breakfast will be starting up on Saturday, February 20. Everyone is invited to come for breakfast, a time of prayer and fellowship. We plan to meet each month on the third Saturday at 8 am in the church fellowship hall. Start your Saturday morning with a great breakfast and with prayer.
Fellowship Night and Pinewood Derby Race will be held on Wednesday, February 24. The Council will be serving up a pizza supper from 5:30 – 6:30 pm. The race will follow at 6:30 pm. Everyone is encouraged to be part of the race; car kits are available on the Welcome Table.
Men’s Bible Study ~ Any men who would be interested in digging into the Word of God through a Men’s Bible study should contact Pastor Jake or Matt Thies. Participation will determine the day and time so options are open.
Church Mission Trip ~ This June 16 – 22 our church will be sending out a team of workers to Logan, West Virginia to work on various projects and show the love of Christ. Pray for this team as they work on details for this journey and that plans will come together.
Classis Holland will be meeting on Thursday, February 4 at Central Avenue CRC in Holland. Our church delegates will be Pastor Jake and Elder Tom Tucker.
Dishes ~ There are a few dishes in the fellowship hall by the church mailboxes that belong to someone. Please check to see if these dishes belong in your kitchen.
Preschool Open House at Lakeshore Little People’ Place will be held on February 2. Come explore preschool options at Lakeshore Little People’s Place for the 2016-2017 school year. Our preschool programs offer high quality academic curriculum, religious instruction, developmental assessments and progress reports. The Hamilton Reformed location offers two or three day sessions in the morning or afternoon for three and four-year-olds. The Hamilton South location offers Preschool with wrap around childcare (full or half day) and the Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) a free full day (M-TH) Preschool for those that meet income and age requirements. GSRP has no religious content. The Holland Korean Church (a ministry of the RCA and CRC) will celebrate a Korean New Year on Saturday, February 6 at Park CRC in Holland from 2 – 5 pm. There will be various events and music provided by the Korean group and Mark Driesenga. Everyone is invited to this celebration.
Everybody Belongs, Everybody Serves ~ This workshop will provide ways in which your church can support its work for and with person with disabilities. On February 23, 7 – 9 pm at Hope Church (77 East 11th Street Holland) attendees will be able to choose workshops on the Americans with Disabilities Act and what it means for churches, supporting persons with depression and anxiety, meeting the needs of children and youth with disabilities and meeting the needs of older persons requiring long-term care. This event is sponsored by West Michigan Disability Advocates from the RCA and CRC. There is no cost for attending this event.
Free Webinar will be on February 16 with the topic of “Sending Young Disciples Into the World and Loving the Ones Already There”. Presenters Ron deVries and Helena Allan will explore how congregations can minister to high school students and preparing for graduation and offer tips on caring for students once they are in college. Volunteers needed to help our neighbors in Flint, Michigan ~ World Renew Disaster Response Services is encouraging potential volunteers to connect with its partner the Red Cross to help residents of Flint as they deal with the water crisis. Volunteers are needed for several weeks to help with door-to-door delivery of water, test kits, filters and other administrative duties.
