OUR CHURCH FAMILY

Meal Schedule ~ A new meal schedule for the Walters family is on the Welcome Table. The meals that our church family have been providing are so much appreciated while Zena is undergoing chemo treatments. Pray for Zena for strength as she is scheduled for surgery on March 8 to remove some of the tumors followed by more chemo treatments.

OUR CHURCH ANNOUNCEMENTS

Morning Service ~ Pastor Jake will lead us in the series on the Gospel of John, Look and See Jesus ~ I AM.

Sunday School Classes will meet today. Pre-K – 4th grade will be dismissed during the morning worship service; 5th – 12th grade will meet following the worship service.

Evening Hymnsing at 6 pm will be led by Erik & Chelsea Reynhout. Join us as we sing songs of the love of God. The offering will be for World Renew.   Following the hymnsing there will be a “Coffee With the Pastor” at Pastor Jake and Kris’ house.

Fellowship Night will be held this Wednesday, February 24. The Council will be serving a pizza supper from 5:30 – 6:30 pm. The Pinewood Derby Race will start at 6:30 pm. Everyone is invited to come and watch this exciting race.

Attention Racers ~ For those of you who are building cars for the Pine Wood Derby race we will be in the fellowship hall Tuesday evening, February 23 from 6:30 – 7:30 pm setting up the trace. You can stop by and test your car down the track or stop by for some last minute tips from the experts! We are looking forward to this exciting night of racing with the Hamilton Cadet Club.

Coffee With the Pastor will be held tonight following the evening hymn sing at Pastor Jake and Kris’ house.   Join for a time of refreshments and fellowship with your church family.

Men’s Bible Study ~ We will be starting two Bible study groups. The first group will meet on Tuesday,  Fbruary 23 at 6 pm and the second group will meet on Thursday, February 25 at 7 pm. We will be studying and discussing “Man Enough” by Nate Pyle. Any questions can be directed to Matt Thies.

Fellowship Night and Pinewood Derby Race will be held on Wednesday, February 24. The Council will be serving a pizza supper from 5:30 – 6:30 pm. The race will follow at 6:30 pm. There will be a practice race on Tuesday night at 6:30 pm in the fellowship hall for those who are part of the race.

Love In the Name of Christ of NW Allegan County is accepting applications for an Executive Director position. A copy of the position description is available on the website at www.loveincnwa.org. If interested in applying, please send your resume to execdirector@frontier.com by February 22, 2016. Keep the Love INC Board in your prayers as they seek to fill this position.

Love INC Pantry Needs ~ The Personal Needs Pantry at Hamilton Reformed Church is in need of paper towels, toilet paper, laundry detergent and fabric softener. Donations may be brought to the Hamilton Reformed Church, Monday – Friday, 8 am – 1 pm. The Baby Needs Pantry is in need of baby shampoo, baby lotion, formula, crib blankets and sheets. Donations may be brought to the Love INC office Monday –Friday, 9 am – 3 pm. Your donations to these pantries are greatly appreciated.

Rehoboth Christian School is bringing their 55-member choir to Michigan. They will perform at Harderwyk CRC on Monday, March 28 at 7 pm. This will be a great night of music. If you would like to host a couple of the students please contact Mary Johnson at johnson1@unm.edu or 505.870.2454.

Summer Day Camp Counselors Needed ~ Do you enjoy time with kids? Applicants needed for 15 paid counselor positions to plan and lead activities at the 2016 Great Escape Summer Day Camp in Holland, serving kids 5-12 years old. Candidates should be outgoing, love children and have experience leading kids. College student studying Education or Youth Ministry, preferred. Assistant counselor positions available to high school seniors or 2016 graduates. Counselors shifts vary between 7:30 am – 6 pm, Monday through Friday starting June 13. Everybody Belongs, Everybody Serves ~ This workshop will provide ways in which your church can support its work for and with person with disabilities. On February 23, 7 – 9 pm at Hope Church (77 East 11th Street Holland) attendees will be able to choose workshops on the Americans with Disabilities Act and what it means for churches, supporting persons with depression and anxiety, meeting the needs of children and youth with disabilities and meeting the needs of older persons requiring long-term care. This event is sponsored by West Michigan Disability Advocates from the RCA and CRC. There is no cost for attending this event.
