OUR CHURCH FAMILY
Remember in prayer the needs of our church family and friends. Den Overbeek (radiation treatment); Harriet Meiste (leg infection); Donna Gillespie (cancer); Joyce Suh (recovery from surgery); Lisa Byker (cancer); our elderly family and others who are dealing with health and life struggles.
Donna Gillespie (friend of our church) has been discharged from the University of Michigan Hospital with brain and lung cancer. Doug & Donna have returned to their home on Beaver Island at this time. They plan on returning to the Holland area sometime in the future. They covet your prayers.
Lisa Byker (daughter-in-law of Pastor John & Kathy) is experiencing new challenges due to the brain tumor even though the tumor has not grown.
Many needs to lift before our Lord!
Thank you ~ This thank you is so long overdue. We would like to say “thank – you” for the gift towards the Turning Point Ranch. We are so very thankful. Sorry our minds were pre-occupied during the holiday season. ~Bob & Kim Greving

Fellowship Night will be held this Wednesday, March 11. A supper will be available from 5:30 – 6:30 pm. At 6:30 pm we will meet in the sanctuary for a time of prayer asking for the blessing of God on our farms, our factories of all types, our fire and police protection services, our EMT’s, our vast transportation networks, everything from the pizza delivery person to the huge container ships from overseas, our pharmaceutical and medical businesses, the banking and insurance industry, in other words everything that affects our physical and economic life. Our Lord commanded us to ask for our daily bread. Join us this Wednesday evening to come together in obedience to his command.
Fellowship Supper everyone is asked to bring a dish to share for Wednesday, March 11. Hamburgers and Hot Dogs will be available.
Cadets ~ The Heritage Council is holding the Pinewood Derby Finals / Cadet-a-rama on Saturday, March 14 at Vreisland Reformed Church. Racing starts at 11 am. Lunch will be available. Come on out, cheer on the racers and see some of the things different Cadet clubs have been working on this year.
Ladies Guild Bible Study ~ The spring session will begin on Tuesday, March 17 at 10 am in the Council Room. Our study will be “Titus and Philemon”, no preparation required. All ladies, of all ages, are welcome to join this session. Contact Naomi Olson (751.7174) for a study book. We will meet on the first and third Tuesday morning of each month with our study concluding on May 19.
Congregational meeting will be held on Sunday, March 15, following the morning service for the casting of lots of officebearers. Those nominated for a three-year term for elder are: Kurt Dykstra, Paul Nyboer and Tom Tucker. Those nominated for the office of deacon are: Paul Kloosterman, Scott Nyboer, Dave Schierbeek, and Matt Vander Bok. The first name drawn for deacon will be for a two-year term; the other two names drawn will be for a three-year term. In doing this we will never have more than two deacons leaving office at the same time. Let us ask for the leading of the Holy Spirit in this activity for the glory of our Lord and the blessing of our church. If you are unable to attend, absentee ballots of affirmation are available from any elder.
March Conference ~ Join with others on a Journey Through the World of Jesus. This conference will be led by Rev. Ray Vander Laan on Friday, March 20 (7-8:30 pm), Saturday, March 21 (9 am – 4 pm) and Sunday, March 22 (9:30 am worship service) at Hamilton CRC. Registration must be made by March 8.
