The Kloosterman family is in court at 10:30 on April 24 for the custody of Nevada which is being contested.  Please pray!

 

OUR CHURCH ANNOUNCEMENTS

 

Christ Is Risen!  Pastor John leads our Resurrection Worship  today as we conclude our year-long study of Mark’s Gospel.

 

Resurrection evening worship at 6 pm tonight features Billy Graham’s special production, “HOPE through the Cross!

 

Jenna & Grace Kloosterman and Caleb DeLong met with the

Council last Wednesday to profess their faith in Jesus!  Their public professions and Caleb’s baptism will soon be scheduled.

 

Fellowship Night this Wednesday, April 23, features a special Mexican supper, prepared by America Perkins, served from 5:30 – 6:30 pm.  Mary Lorence from Healing Hearts, a ministry to women who experienced abortions, will be the speaker for the adult session.  The Cadets will have their annual auction.

 

Alpha Outreach meets Thursday, April 24, at 6 pm for a meal followed by the movie on “How to Study the Bible.”

 

Alpha Weekend at Gull Lake Retreat Center on the “Holy Spirit” goes from 6 pm April 25 through 6 pm April 26.  Call Kirk Tyler by this Tuesday if you can come.  Great leadership training.

 

New Council Leaders to be installed next Sunday, April 27, are  Berend Bergman, Dennis Burke and Harley Elshuis.

Ladies Guild Ministry meets at 10 am Tuesday, April 29, to view a final Esther DVD “A Night With the King” which completes our study.  We will have a luncheon afterwards at Hawk’s Nest.

April 20, 2014

 

Sunday School classes for three-year-olds – 8th grade will meet on April 27, May 4 and 11.  On May 18 we will be part of the worship service.  The High School class will meet on April 27 and May 4.

Cadets ~ We will be having our auction night on Wednesday, April 23 at 6:30 pm at church.

Fellowship Night will be Wednesday, April 23.  A Mexican supper will be available from 5:30 – 6:30 pm and activities begin at 6:30 pm, including the Cadet Auction in the fellowship room and Healing Hearts Ministry to post-abortion women in the sanctuary.

Today Devotional provided by the Back to God Ministry International is available in your church mailbox. For the month of May, Rev. Kurt Selles has written the devotion entitled The Names of God.  Rev. Selles was a missionary we supported in his work in China.

Bible League Spring Luncheon will be held on Thursday, April 24 at 12 noon at the Harderwyk CRC in    Holland.  The lunch will be catered by James Street Inn.  Karen Ming will be the speaker.  For reservations call Loie Capel by April 20.

The Baby Basket is out and waiting for gifts to welcome Braden Lee Oetman son of Garett & Nicole who was born on Wednesday, April 9.  Help welcome him to HCRC!

T-Shirts in memory of Jen McKinney are available to order in the fellowship hall.  Cost is $6 and available in    children and adult sizes.  You are also invited to the Rural Rush on May 30 in Overisel in memory of Jen.

Parents Resource Day ~ On April 27 immediately after morning worship, there will be a 30-minute meeting to assist parents of our church family.  Parenting is a tough calling and we often feel that we are alone but fear not!  There are many great resources available to us as we raise our children to the glory of the Lord.  Please join us to see what is available in our own library, and maybe ask some questions.

Mark your Calendars ~ A church potluck will be held on Sunday, May 18 after the morning service in the fellowship hall.  We will celebrate many things of the church including high school and college graduates and also another year of children’s Worship and Sunday School.  Plan to join us – details to come.

College Graduates ~ If you have graduated or will be graduating from college for the 2013-2014 school year please let the church office know.  We want to include all our college graduates in our upcoming church celebration.

Love INC Worship Service will be held on Sunday, May 4 at 6 pm at the Overisel Reformed Church.  The community is invited to join for praise and worship led by the ORC Praise Team and hear testimonies to the glory of God through the working of you – the Love INC Network.

Forgotten Man Mission Ministry will be hosting a banquet on Thursday, May 8 at 6 pm at the Hamilton High School Cafeteria.  To make reservation contact Jerene Schrotenboer at 751.8096.  Come and   celebrate what has been accomplished in your county jail over the last year and the vision for the coming year.  Through the Word of the Lord, inmates can re-join our community on a new path and approved in the name of Jesus Christ.

Back to God Ministries International has been sharing the Gospel in Russia and the Ukraine.  You are invited to hear Rev.
