OUR CHURCH FAMILY

Hazel Geurink is at Rest Haven (40th Street) to gain strength from pneumonia.  At this time the family ask for no visitors but your cards and prayers are appreciated.

Zena Walters CAT scan showed that the tumor has decreased in size and surgery will be in August.  Continue to pray for Zena and the family.

Chad Schierbeek will be having tests on Monday to help diagnose some helath issues.  Pray that the doctors may find the right course of treatment for Chad.

Thank You church family for the Pizza Ranch gift card and potluck to celebrate  my high school graduation.              Matthew McCrory

Dear HCRC, Thank you for the sympathy cards, emails and Facebook comments following the death of my grandpa.  It was hard to be away from family; thank you for your prayers and encouragement during this time!  I’m looking forward to seeing you this fall.                                                                                        Blessings, Ruth Lemmen

OUR CHURCH ANNOUNCEMENTS

Morning Service ~ This morning Pastor Jake will lead us in worship continuing with the stories of Exodus.  Last week Pastor Jake asked the question, “Why do we have church?”  If you have thoughts you would like to share on this please contact Pastor Jake.

Evening Service will be held tonight at 6 pm at Hamilton Reformed Church.

Small Group Bible Study will meet on Tuesday, July 26 at Royal Park Atrium at 7 pm.  Our lesson is Episode 2, pages 67 and 68.

Church Cook-Out will be held on Sunday, July 31 following the morning worship service at Jake and Kris’ backyard.  Please bring a dish to share;  meat, beverage and tableservice will be provided.

 Small Group Bible Study will be held on Tuesday, July 26 at Royal Park Atrium.  Our lesson will be Episode 2 on pages 67 and 68.

Church Cook-Out will be held on Sunday, July 31 following morning worship in Pastor Jake & Kris’ backyard.  Bring a dish to share; meat and everything else will be provided.

Church Trip ~ Are you interested in going to the Meijer Gardens in Grand Rapids as a church group?  If you are contact Matt Thies or Judi Rice with a date that works for your calendar.  Cost is determined by amount attending.  There are tours available of the garden by foot and by tram ride.

Back Pack Ministry ~ Back-to-school supplies and backpacks are needed for Love INC Back Pack Ministry.  Your donations can be placed in the school box in the fellowship hall until August 19.

Backyard Bible Clubs ~ Touching Young Lives in our Neighborhood ~ Hamilton CRC and Haven Reformed are partnering with Child Evangelism Fellowship to offer Backyard Bible Clubs July 25-29.  If you would like to help with a club for a day for 90 minutes (5-12 years old) or provide transportation between Hamilton and Allegan for a 17 year-old leader, contact Phil Knoll at 751.8521.

Hungry for Christ is having their 1st annual Western Round-Up Carnival Motorama on Saturday, August 13 from noon – 4 pm at their new location (4565 – 135th Street, Hamilton, next to Love INC).  Cost is $10 for an all-day wrist band that includes all games, face painting, balloon creations, barrel train rides.  There will also be a Motorama, food and ice cream sundae bar and bake sale along with a Dunk Tank with some of the area youth pastors.  To enter the Motorama (anything with wheels) cost is $10 per vehicle and registration opens at 11 am with awards at 3 pm.  Everyone is welcome and more information is on the Welcome Table.

Christian Reformed Conference Grounds in Grand Haven invites you to a concert by the Matthew Brothers on Saturday, July 23 at 7 pm in the Worship Center.  A Braised BBQ Beef dinner will be available from 5 – 6:30 pm, served in the Sunshine Room.  No tickets are needed for the concert, a free will offering will be taken to defray the cost of the music ministry.  For more information go to www.crcg.org.

Food Resource Bank & World Renew invites you to a special event featuring guests from the food security programs in India.  Come to meet Balo and Noni and hear about community changes happening through the India-Patharkhmah and Umsning programs on Sunday, July 24 at 6 pm at East Saugatuck CRC.

World Renew Disaster Volunteers are needed in Detroit, Michigan ~ The greater Detroit area in Michigan was hit by severe flooding in 2014.  Church, school and family groups are needed now and through this fall to repair homes for the elderly, disabled and otherwise vulnerable.  Groups who would like to serve in Detroit, particularly those that include some diversity and otherwise could not afford to serve in this way, through World Renew Disaster Response Services are eligible to apply for special funding to help with volunteer expenses.  Visit worldrenew.net/group-mission-trips or call 800.848.5818 to learn more about this and other opportunities to make a difference.

Vacation Bible School ~

Backyard Bible Club will be July 25- 29 for ages 5- 12 (morning and afternoon sessions) hosted by Haven Reformed and Hamilton CRC in partnership with Child Evangelism Fellowship of Allegan County.

God’s Plan for You (GP4U=J) will be July 26-28 from 6 pm – 8:15 pm at Hamilton Reformed Church.
