Paul Schaap was called to his eternal home on Wednesday, July 16. We give thanks for the 74 years of Paul’s earthly journey, but rejoice that he is in heaven. Remember in prayer his wife Joyce and his children Cindi & Chris Kooyers, Karen & Doug Gamby and Pam & Chris McDonald, his grandchildren and sister-in-law Shirley Oetman.
Thank you to Judi Rice for completing our church’s food safety course. Our church kitchen is now current with licenses with Allegan County.

Pray this week Monday – Thursday for Community Vacation Bible School being held at Haven Reformed Church. Many children and volunteers praising and learning about God.

Vacation Bible School begins tomorrow night – Monday, July 21 – July 24 at Haven Reformed Church from 6-8:30 pm. All kids, Pre-K – 5th grade are invited to join in on four fun nights.

Community Service next Sunday, July 27 will be held at our church. West Michigan Teen Challenge will share songs and testimonies. Join us for this service of praise.

August 3: Conflict of Israel and Palestine ~ Dr. Habeed Awad
August 10: Cloud of Witnesses ~ Testimonies of brothers and sisters from Hamilton who have experienced the power and grace of God at work in their lives.
August 17: Our Faith and Science ~ Dr. Mary Beth Anderson, Professor of Chemistry at Hope College, ill share how science has deepened her faith and understanding of God’s glory and majesty.

August 31: Labor Day Outdoor Service at Diamond Springs Wesleyan Church ~ Rev. Mark Inman
Sunday School will soon begin and we will be needing teachers and helpers for this church ministry. If you are interested in helping contact Dawn Driesenga or Sandy Lemmen.
Kids, Pre-K – 5th grade, Vacation Bible School begins Monday, July 21 – Thursday, July 24 from 6 – 8:30 pm at Haven Reformed Church. Be sure to come for four nights of meeting some great animals and to hear of God’s creation.
Stuff-the-Bus will take place on Friday, July 25 and Saturday, July 26 at the Hamilton Food Center. Help fill the bus in the parking lot with non-perishable food items for the Love INC Food Pantry.
Lakeshore Little People’s Place invites you to a Community Open House to tour their new building in Hamilton on Tuesday, July 29 from 3 – 7 pm. Programs being offered are Christian childcare and preschool for children ages 6 weeks – 5th grade. The site is located at 3362 M-40 next to the Trestle Stop. Backpack Ministry ~ Love INC is collecting donations of school supplies through August 22. Donations of can be brought to the Love INC office in Hamilton. Supplies needed are: backpacks (generic color, no character or wheels); pencils, erasers; markers; colored pencils; glue sticks; scissors; crayons, 2-pocket folders; wide-ruled paper; loose-leaf paper; 3- ring binders; blue, black and red pens; yellow highlighters; rulers; protractor and graph paper. Your donations for this ministry are appreciated.
Booths for Youths are looking for artists, crafters and home-based businesses to be part of the Craft Fair on Saturday, October 18 at the Hamilton Middle School. Booths are a 10×10 space. For additional information and questions email haven-bfy@hotmail.com or call Haven Reformed Church at 751.7321.
Hungry for Christ will be having a Car Show and Open House on Saturday, August 9, 12 noon – 3pm at their facility (3871 – 144th Avenue, Hamilton). Come and enjoy free food, tours of the facility, live music along with fire trucks and face painting for the kids.
Come Encourage Haiti ~ Join World Renew in their continued efforts to encourage Haitians in the post- earthquake rehabilitation phase. You are invited to build a community center in the Corbon region to provide a place for local gatherings and events. If you are unable to go, your prayers in this effort for the Haitians are needed.
