Requested & Expanded Announcements
July 23, 2017
Thank You ~ For a family in need your gift provides a life-changing opportunity to overcome extreme hunger, injustice and the impact of disaster. It means preventing malnutrition in children, a successful harvest for a farmer, and access to water for a community. We are grateful that you have given generously to change the story of people living the harsh reality of poverty. Your support is empowering communities to learn, try new techniques and create lasting change for their families. They are accomplishing goals that some never thought they would be able to achieve. With confidence and new skills, community members have been able to start new businesses, farm new crops, and earn enough income to send their children to school. These are only a few examples of how gifts like yours are giving new hope. Thank you for your support to World Renew through your Community Pancake Breakfast and helping support God’s children in need.

Quest Ministry ~ Help send Sydney Wassink and SSG Sean Mather on an “Experience of a Life Time!” through Lakeshore Quest Ministries. To help send these two on a whitetail hunt, Quest Ministry is hosting a supper and auction on Wednesday, July 26 at The Hall in Overisel. A meal of sloppy joes, hot dogs and sides will be served from 5:30 – 6:30 pm. An auction will be held starting at 7 pm. If you have items to donate to the auction (craft items, baked goods, gift cards, etc.) contact Jim Mentzer at 616.218.6528. Quest Ministry sends Purple Heart Vets and special needs children to an all-paid whitetail hunt at 2Hats Game Ranch in Big Rapids. This fun-filled evening helps raise funds to make this happen. Your support is appreciated.

Water Fund Raiser for Love INC ~ The water system at the Love INC offices and Heart-to-Heart Store has a high nitrate content and has been undrinkable for the past 2 years. The DEQ and Health Department has suggested that an on-site water treatment system is the only permanent solution. The system cost $8,000 including parts, labor and quarterly monitoring. Love INC is reaching out to the community to help raise funds for this water treatment and help make the water safe to drink. If you would like to help meet this goal to have safe drinking water please send your gifts to Love INC, PO Box 36, Hamilton, Michigan 49419. Please earmark your gift “Water Project” and help us reach our goal.

Pray for Inspire 2017 ~ Inspire 2017 is a conference to connect people from across the 1,000+ churches in the Christian Reformed Church for three days of worship, workshops, speakers and conversation. This week, please pray for accessibility and for people of all levels of ability to be included, involved, comfortable and blessed. Pray that Inspire 2017 will be a true family reunion, reflecting the church in all its diversity and beauty.
