OUR CHURCH FAMILY

Jodi Schierbeek will be having outpatient foot surgery on Thursday, September 3.  Pray that surgery may be successful and a complete recovery.

Thank You to all those who helped the past four Wednesday evenings with Vacation Bible School at our church.  You helped to plant the seeds of love, kindess, gratitudes and patience.

OUR CHURCH ANNOUNCEMENTS

Morning Service ~ This morning Pastor Jake will lead us in worship.  Pastor Jake will be on vacation from August 31 – September 14.  If a need arises please contact the church office or your district elder.   Next Sunday morning Rev. Chris Dorsey will lead us in worship and Rev. Mike Johnson will lead us in worship on September 13.

Community Worship  at 6 pm tonight is hosted here at HCRC for our Annual Prayers for Schools.  The school year will begin soon for our elementary, middle school, high school and college  children and youth and it is important to cover them with prayer.  The offering will be for Love INC.

Community Service on September 6 will be held at Diamond Springs Wesleyan Church.  The service will be held outdoors, weather permitting.  Bring lawn chairs.

Small Group Bible Study will meet on Tuesday, September 1 at 7 pm at the Royal Park Atrium.  We will discuss lesson 9, ‘Trusting God’.

Cadet Kick-off will be held on Wednesday, September 9.  All boys in grades first – 6th are invited to watch Mike Grupeen and his Solid Rock strength team.  We will meet at the clubhouse at 6:30 pm.

Community Outdoor Service will be held next Sunday, September 6 at  6 pm at Diamond Spring Wesleyan Church.  Weather permitting the service will be held outdoors, bring a lawn chair.

Cadets Kick-off will be held on Wednesday, September 9.  All boys, 1st grade – 6th grade should meet at the  Cadet Clubhouse at 6:30 pm.  We will be going to Zeeland to be inspired and amazed by Mike Gruppen  and his Solid Rock strength team.

Sunday School will begin their season on September 13.  The Pre-K – 5th grade will meet during the worship service; middle school and high school will meet following the worship time.

Ladies Guild Bible Study will begin their autumn study session on Tuesday, September 15 at 10 am at church in the Council Room.  This will be a seven session study titled “Peter, The Making of a Disciple”   and will conclude on December 15.  We meet the first and third Tuesday of the month.  Guild members  will find the new study books in their mailboxes.  All ladies of all  ages are invited and most welcome to join us in fellowship and learning.  There is no preparation required.  If you need a study book, contact Naomi Olson.

Heart to Heart Store of Love INC appreciates your gently used donations of clothing, toys, household items and miscellaneous items. Your items help support the Love INC ministry.

Hamilton Community Series will begin on September 20 – October 18.  We will continue with the series of  last winter The Art of Spiritual Conversation.  The October 18 service will be held at Hamilton High  School with guest speaker Mr. Jeff Klein.

Living Proof Live Simulcast with author Beth Moore and worship leader Travis Cottrell will be held at   Community Reformed Church in Zeeland on Saturday, September 12 from 10:15 am – 5 pm.  Tickets are       $20 (includes lunch) or $15 (excludes lunch).  For ticket  and registration go to communityreformed.org.

Holland Deacons Conference is looking to fill several part-time positions.  These positions involve working with and providing support for the men and women with developmental disabilities living at My Brother’s House and My Sister’s Houses.  The positions are:  Community Living Support Coordinator;      Community Living Support Specialist; Residential Support Specialist.  For additional information on these positions or to apply go to HDC’s website hdccrc.org and visit ‘Seeking Applicants’.
