Tom Tucker had foot surgery this past Tuesday for an infection and is at home for recovery.
Dale Eding was admitted to Cleveland Clinc for further testing.
Harlan Meiste is a Freedom Inn in Holland for therapy.
Remember these and others in prayer who are dealing with health issues.
Mr. Jake Porter and his family has accepted the call from our church to become our pastor. We give thanks to God and pray God’s blessing on Jake in this position.

Worship Services this morning will be led by Rev. Ray Vander Laan. We will celebrate the baptism of Keagan Jean Vander Bok, daughter of Matt and Jill. The evening worship service will be led by Rev. Ron De Young.
Missions ~ Today we begin our celebration of Missions in Hamiton and around the world. Faith Promise Pledge Cards are available in your church mailbox and should be returned next Sunday morning. This week pray what your contribution can be towards spreading the gospel through our missionaries.
Worldwide Communion will be celebrated next Sunday morning. Come prepared to participate at the table of the Lord. The thankoffering will be Faith Promise Mission. Rev. Jimmy Lin of the Back to God Ministry will lead us in worship.

Fellowship Time ~ Cookie donations are needed for our Sunday morning fellowship time. If you can donate, sign the sheet in the narthex. Your donations are appreciated.
Mission Sunday ~ Today and next Sunday we will observe Missions – At Home & Abroad. Today Rev. Ray Vander Laan and Rev. Ron De Young will lead us in worship; Next Sunday, Rev. Jimmy Lin and Rev. Wayne Coleman will lead us in worship. We will also celebrate Worldwide Communion at the 9:30 am service on October 5. Faith Promise Pledge Cards are available in your church mailbox and can be returned next Sunday. Join us for these special services as we focus on our mission in Hamilton and to all parts of the world.
Ladies Guild Bible Study will meet Tuesday, October 7 at 10 am in the Council Room. We will discuss Lesson 2 – New Person, New Creation. If any ladies would like to join in this Bible study should contact Naomi Olson for a study book.
Small Group (Schaap) Bible Study will meet on Tuesday, October 7 at 7 pm at Royal Park Atrium. We will discuss lesson 13 – City of Idols.

Community Pig Roast hosted by our church will be Saturday, October 11 at 5 pm. A meal of meat, potato salad, baked beans rolls, dessert and beverage will be provided. The congregation is asked to bring a dessert to share (please avoid desserts with peanuts, tree nuts or peanut butter due to severe food allergies). Invite a friend or neighbor to join in on this night of fellowship. If you have questions contact Tim & Dawn Driesenga.
Notice ~ The Youth Outreach Project to Holland Rescue Mission will be discontinued. If in the future we have more interest in this project we will consider doing this project again.
Wednesday Night Fellowship will be October 8. A meal will be available from 5:30 – 6:30 pm with activities for youth starting at 6:30 pm.
Benefit Garage & Bake Good Sale to support Amy Vander Kamp in her role with Youth for Christ will be held on October 4, 11 and 18 from 10 am – 3 pm at the Vander Kamp Leasing (4107 Filmore Road). New items are added each week. All money raised will help the Youth for Christ Program.
Love INC Bedding Ministry needs twin, full and queen size sheets, blankets and comforters. The ministry is completely out of twin size sheets. Donations of new pillows are also needed. Donations can be brought to the Overisel Reformed Church or to Heart to Heart in Hamilton during store hours. Your donations are greatly appreciated.
Life Chain ~ Join Right to Life of Holland Area at the National Life Chain on Sunday, October 6 from 2-3 pm bginning near 16th Street and Fairbanks in Holland. Life Chain is a pro-life, peaceful, prayerful, public witness on behalf of unborn at risk of elective abortion. Signs to hold during the prayer vigil will be provided.
Fall Leadership Kick-Off will be held on Thursday, October 2 from 6:30 – 9:30 pm at Calvary CRC in Holland. This event is hosted by Classis Georgetown, Holland and Zeeland. The evening will include a conversation on the topic “Calvinism Aflame-World Affirming and Renewing” with Dr. Jul Medenblik, President of Calvin Seminary and Rev. Larry Doornbos, Pastor of Evergreen Ministries. You will also be able to attend 2 of sixteen seminars by noted leaders and teachers. A brochures listing the various seminars is available on the Welcome Table. If you plan to attend, your registration form must be returned to the church office by September 28.
Dunningville Reformed Church Harvest Festival will be held Saturday, October 4. A supper of soup, barbeques, hot dogs and pie will be available from 5 – 6:30 pm; Auction begins at 6:30 pm. Items for the auction include crafts, baked goods, produce and much more.
Night of Music is being sponsored by the Holland Division of the Bible League on Sunday, September 28 at 7:30 pm at Central Avenue CRC. The featured musicians will be Rich & Mary Cory, Sons of Korah Quartet and the Central Avenue Octet. A freewill offering will be received for the Bible League South American project.
