Tom Tucker is a patient Mary Free Bed Hospital for rehabilitation.  Plans are for Tom to return home to Hamilton on Tuesday.  Remember him in prayer for strength each day.

OUR CHURCH ANNOUNCEMENTS

Morning Service ~ This morning our service will be led by Mr. Fred Johnson.

Sunday School Classes will meet today for Pre-K – 12th grade.  The Pre-K – 5th grade will be dismissed during the worship service; the Middle School and High School will meet following morning worship in the Youth Room.

Evening Service will be held at Hamilton Reformed Church at 6 pm.  Rev. Tom Dekker will lead the time of worship.  We will be worshipping at Hamilton Reformed Church for the month of January.

Cadets ~ We will be meeting on January 11 and 25 from 6:30 – 7:45 pm in the clubhouse.

Release Time from Hamilton Elementary will meet in the fellowship hall on Friday, January 13.  Remember this ministry and the many volunteers in prayer as they share the Bible to students in grades 1st – 4th grade.

 Cadets will be meeting on January 11 and 25 in the clubhouse from 6:30 – 7:45 pm.

Remodel ~ There will be no Fellowship Night Dinners for the month of January.   The next fellowship night will be February 8 which will be hosted by the youth group.

Yearbook 2017 ~ If you would like to order a Christian Reformed Yearbook for 2017 sign the order sheet at the Welcome Table.  This directory is of churches, classes, pastors, commissioned pastors and CRC ministers for the Christian Reformed Church in North America.   Books are $10 and will arrive in February.

Community Event ~ Reserve Friday, January 13 at 7 pm for a night of guitar playing by the International Guitar Duo Loren Barrigar and Mark Mazengarb.  The concert will take place in Overisel at The Hall, (4201 – 47th Street).  The cost of a ticket is only $15 prior to the event or $18 at the door and can be purchased by contacting Dave Jurries at 616.218.2412.  Proceeds will be used to help fund the Overisel Reformed Church Roof Repair Project.

Sanctity of Life March and Service will be held on Monday, January 16, from 7 – 8 pm starting at Central Avenue CRC in Holland.  The guest speaker will be Barb Listing President of Right to Life of Michigan.  If you would like to be part of the March for Life in Washington DC contact the Right to Life Office in Holland at 616.396.1037 for itineraries.

Summer Camp ~ Kids, registration information for Camp Geneva 2017 is available on the Welcome Table.  Check out the various camp weeks they have for all youth ages.  “Embrace the Adventure” this summer at Camp Geneva.

Pray for Inspire 2017 ~ Inspire 2017 is a conference to connect  people from across the 1,000+ churches in the Christian Reformed Church for three days of worship, workshops, speakers and conversation.  As we plan and prepare for this event, happening August 3-5 in Detroit, Michigan, please join us in praying for the event and all who will attend.  This week, please pray for final details and finishing touches for the website (crcna.org/inspire)

Missions ~ A few churches in Asia where a CRWM missionary serves, are looking for volunteers to help with an English Bible Camp this summer!  Share stories from the Bible while playing games and doing activities with these children.  Visit crwm.org/EnglishCamp if interested.  Remember to always pray for the needs of Home and World Missions.

Summer Day Camp Counselors Needed ~ Like working with kids?  Applicants needed for 15 paid counselor positions to plan and lead activities at the 2017 Great Escape Summer Day Camp in Holland, serving kids 5-12 years old.  Candidates should be outgoing, love children and have experience leading children.  College students studying Education and Youth Ministries preferred.  Assistant counselor positions available  to high school seniors or 2017 graduates.  Counselor shifts vary between 7:30 am – 6 pm, Monday through Friday starting June 12.  Job description and application at www.neighborsplus.org or call 616.399.9190 ext. 325.

Calvin Symposium on Worship will be held January 26-28, 2017 at Calvin College and Calvin Theological Seminary.  The three-day conference brings together a wide audience of artists, musicians, pastors, scholars, students, worship leaders and planners and other interested worshippers.  The plenary speakers for the conference are N.T. If there is a Winter Storm Warning or Blizzard Warning one hour before a worship service or scheduled church event, that event will be cancelled.  If the Hamilton schools have been closed for the entire day due to weather, all church activities are cancelled.
