Thank You to those who came out for the Church Bowling Night. It was a fun night together as a church family.
Den Overbeek will continue with chemo this week Thursday. He so much appreciates all the visits, cards and prayers.
Harriet Meiste is at Holland Hospital for a leg infection.
Continue to pray for Donna Gillespie (friend and former member of HCRC) and Lisa Byker (daughter-in-law of Pastor John & Kathy) who are dealing with cancer.
OUR CHURCH ANNOUNCEMENTS
Cadet Sunday ~ This morning we will acknowledge our Cadet program. Their theme this year is ‘Branded with Christ’ based on Deuteronmy 6:5, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength”. Thank you to our Cadets and leaders for being part of the HCRC Cadet program. Our Cadets this year are Avery Calkins, Connor Driesenga, Andrew Dykstra, Brady Walters and Gavyn Walters. Our leaders are Kurt Dykstra, Dave Schierbeek, and AJ Walters. A special offering will be received for the Cadet program during the morning service.
Tonight our service will be led by Mr. Curtis Dixon. The minsitry offering will be for Christian Reformed Home Missions.
Community Breakfast will be held on Saturday, April 18 from 8 – 9 am in the fellowship hall. Everyone is invited to come for a great breakfast and time of fellowship.
Ladies Guild Bible Study will meet Tuesday, April 21 at 10 am in the Council Room. We will discuss lesson 3, Doing Good for Jesus’ Sake.
Sunday School classes will resume for Pre-K – 12th grade next Sunday, April 19.

Ladies Guild Bible Study will meet on Tuesday, April 21 at 10 am. We will discuss lesson 3 “Doing Good For Jesus’ Sake”. All ladies are welcome to join us for this study on Titus and Philemon.
Ministry Offering ~ For April 12, 19 and 26 our ministry offering will be for Christian Reformed Home Missions. Please prayerfully consider supporting Home Missions as they spread the Gospel through finding local missionaries, offering leadership development courses and supporting new church plants. Your gift for Home Mission may be placed in any offering, mark your giving envelope “Home Missions”.
Ministry Opportunity ~ Love INC is in need of volunteers for the office in Allegan. These volunteers would serve as loving listeners / caring support to those in need of assistance with local pantry supplies. Tasks include answering phone calls, interacting with clients and giving out vouchers. Training and support is offered. Ministry days are Tuesday, 1 – 4pm and Thursday, noon – 3 pm at the First Baptist Church. For more information call 269.751.2533. Let your light shine in our community.
Hungry for Christ is part of the Simply Give program from March 29- May 11 at the Meijer Store (16th Street). At the beginning of the check-out aisles, there are displays with Hungry for Christ identified on it as the recipient of the donation. Take a card from the display to the check-out with your purchases, pay for your items and the card, and Meijer will do the rest. April 17-18 are double match days. On these days Meijers will match all $10 donations with $20, making your donation worth $30. Thank you for your support of Hungry for Christ.
Bible League Spring Luncheon will be held on Thursday, April 23 at 12 noon at the Harderwyk CRC (1627 W. Lakewood Blvd. – Holland). The lunch will be catered by James Street Inn. The speaker will be Kim deBlecourt, author of “Until We All Come Home”, sharing about her frightening year-long struggle to extricate her little boy from the past Soviet Ukraine. Kim is from the Holland area and travels nationally as an orphan advocate for various organizations. To make your reservation contact Loie Capel (751.2701) by April 20. Tickets are $8.
Dad Not Just A Name ~ Fatherhood conference for all male role models of children will be held on May 30 at Ridge Point Community Church. Christian Reformed World Missions has opportunities to serve:
Teach English in Kyrgyzstan. Model Christ-like life to young students coming from nominal Muslim backgrounds as you teach English and lead various school projects and extra-curricular activities in this south Asian country.
Serve in Costa Rica. Casa Adobe is a ministry center in the Community of Santa Rosa. Casa Adobe’s mission is to be a community within the community, to be good neighbors, and to live out God’s Kingdom in a concrete way. There are many service opportunities in Casa Adobe.

Right to Life 5K Walk / Fun Run For Life will be held on Saturday, April 18 at 10 am at Lawrence Street Park in Zeeland. Pledge sheets can be downloaded at rtlofholland.org. Walkers and Runners with pledges will be entered into the prize drawing and all walkers who raise $50 or more receive a T-shirt and all runners will receive a Finisher Medal.
