Bruce Eding was able to come home on Tuesday to continue recovery following heart surgery.
Prayer also for Dale Eding that he may continue to gain strength.
Ed Scholten went to be with his Savior on Thursday night. Pray for Margaret and the Scholten and Schutte family through this time. “Even though I walk through the valley of death I will fear no evil for you are with me.”
We extend sympathy to Doug & Betty Wabeke in the death of Doug’s dad, Marvin Wabeke on August 24.
Continue to pray for those of our church family who are dealing with health, loneliness, and spiritual issues.
OUR CHURCH ANNOUNCEMENTS
Morning Service ~ This morning we will have the installation and ordination service for Pastor Jake. Rev. Chris DeVos of Classis Holland will give the charge and Rev. Jose Angel Lopez/Dominguez will be the guest speaker. Following the service, cake and refreshments will be available.
Community Worship at 6 pm is hosted here at HCRC. Tonight Dr. Tom Boogaart, professor at Western Theological Seminary, will lead us in worship. Next Sunday we will have a time of prayer for the start of the school season.
Vacation Bible School will be held on Wednesday, August 26 at our church. Any children Pre-K – 4th grade are welcome to attend. God’s farm opens at 6:30 – 8 pm. This night will wrap up our VBS farm nights.
September Newsletter ~ Articles for the September newsletter are due today and can be placed in the newsletter box.
Small Group Bible Study will meet on Tuesday, September 1 at 7 pm at the Royal Park Atrium. We will discuss lesson 9, ‘Trusting God’.

Vacation Bible School for children, 4 years-old – 4th grade will be held on Wednesday, August 26 at Hamilton CRC from 6:30 – 8 pm. All children, Pre-K – 4th grade are encouraged to attend. This will be the last session of being on God’s farm. Remember your food items for the offering.

A Prayer Service for our Schools will be held on Sunday, August 30 at 6 pm at HCRC. As children and youth are getting ready for school and college we want to cover them with prayers.
Classis Holland ~ The Lao Christian Reformed Church invites you to the ordination service of their new pastor Mr. Lee Khang. The service will be held on Sunday, August 30 at 11 am at the Lao CRC. A meal of celebration will be held after the service.
Love INC Medical Supply Ministry at Haven Reformed Church is in need of a few wheelchairs that are in good condition to restock their supply. If anyone has a wheelchair(s) to donate please contact Lynn Etheridge at lynn@havenchurch.com or 269.751.7321.
Hamilton Community Series will begin on September 20 – October 18. We will continue with the series of last winter The Art of Spiritual Conversation. The October 18 service will be held at Hamilton High School with guest speaker Mr. Jeff Klein.
Lakeshore Little People’s Place Christian Childcare is hiring teachers and assistants. Full-time and part- time positions are available in Holland and Hamilton. Applicants must be 18 or older and available year- round until 6 pm. A degree in early childhood or related field and/or experience working in a licensed childcare preferred.
