OUR CHURCH FAMILY
We extend our sympathy to Bruce & Betty Eding and Dean Eding and the extended Eding family in the death of their mother and grandmother Joyce Eding. Visitation will be held today from 2-5 pm at Hamiton Reformed Church with the funeral service on Monday at 1 pm.
We also extend sympathy to Ken Laninga in the passing of his sister-in-law Wilma LeFebre.
Harlan & Harriet Meiste are at Lakeside Vista. Your prayers and visits are appreciated through this transition.
Dale Eding is at Cleveand Clinic for test concerning a blood clot. Remember him and Carol in prayer.
OUR CHURCH ANNOUNCEMENTS
Worldwide Communion & Mission Sunday will be celebrated this morning. Anyone who is a professing member of the faith is invited to participate in this sacrament. Rev. Jimmy Lin will lead us in this time of worship. This evening Rev. Wayne Colemen of the Imagine Fellowship in Holland will lead us in worship.
This morning we will renew our commitment for missions through our Faith Promise Pledge Cards. Your card may be placed in the morning offering.
Fellowship Night will begin on Wednesday, October 8. For the supper hour, 5:30 – 6:30 pm you are asked to bring your favorite Wild Game or Fall Harvest dish to share. Following the supper, activities will be held. Please bring your dish to share to the church kitchen by 5:15 pm.
Community Pig Roast will be held on Saturday, October 11 in the church fellowship hall. A supper of pork, potato salad, baked beans, rolls, dessert and beverage will be served from 5 – 7 pm. Invite a friend to join you for this night of fellowship.

Mission Sunday ~ Today we will focus on Missions – At Home & Abroad and celebrate Worldwide Communion with Christians around the world. This morning Rev. Jimmy Lin of the Back to God International Ministry will lead us in worship. Tonight Rev. Wayne Coleman will lead us in worship. Rev. Coleman has served as the senior pastor for the past six years at Imagine Fellowship in Holland. He has received his MDIV from Western Theological Seminary and has studied at Kuyper College and Calvin Seminary. Rev. Coleman is the first African American male to be ordained in the Holland Classis and currently is pursuing his Doctorate in Ministry from Garrett Theological Seminary in Evanston, Illinois. He and his wife Ruth have three children.
Ladies Guild Bible Study will meet Tuesday, October 7 at 10 am in the Council Room. We will discuss Lesson 2 – New Person, New Creation. If any ladies would like to join in this Bible study they should contact Naomi Olson for a study book.
Small Group (Schaap) Bible Study will meet on Tuesday, October 7 at 7 pm at Royal Park Atrium. We will discuss lesson 13 – City of Idols.
Wednesday Night Fellowship begins this Wednesday, October 8. You are asked to bring your favorite wild game dish or fall harvest dish to share. Supper will be from 5:30 – 6:30 pm and activities begin at 6:30 pm. Food dishes should be in the church kitchen by 5:15 pm. Invite a friend to join you.
Community Pig Roast hosted by our church will be Saturday, October 11 at 5 pm. A meal of pork, potato salad, baked beans, rolls, dessert and beverage will be provided. The congregation is asked to bring a dessert to share (please avoid desserts with peanuts, tree nuts or peanut butter due to severe food allergies). Invite a friend or neighbor to join in on this night of fellowship. If you have questions contact Tim & Dawn Driesenga.
Booths for Youths Craft Fair will be held Saturday, October 18 from 9 am – 3 pm at the Hamilton Middle School. Come and check out artists, crafters, home-based businesses and bake sale. This craft fair is presented and benefiting the Youth Groups at Haven Reformed Church.
Hamilton Red Cross Blood Drive will be held on Thursday, October 16 from noon – 5:45 pm at Hamilton Reformed Church. For more information or to make an appointment (not required) go to redcrossblood.org (sponsor code: Hamiltonreformed) or call 1.800.RED CROSS.
Trunk or Treat at Haven Reformed Church will be held on Friday, October 31 from 6:30 – 8 pm. We need you to help us bless the community with a fun and safe night. Bus Trip to Gurnee Mills Outlet Mall in Illinois is being sponsored by Dunningville Reformed Church on Saturday, November 22. Departure is 7 am and the bus will return at 9 pm. Life Chain ~ Join Right to Life of Holland Area at the National Life Chain on Sunday, October 5 from 2-3 pm beginning near 16th Street and Fairbanks in Holland. Life Chain is a pro-life, peaceful, prayerful, public witness on behalf of unborn at risk of elective abortion. Signs to hold during the prayer vigil will be provided.
