OUR CHURCH FAMILY
Andrew Dykstra, Michele Dykstra and Avery Calkins will be traveling to Florida on Friday, December 26 with the Hamilton High School Band for a music performance. They will be returning on December 31. Remember them and the entire band in prayer for traveling safety and health as they represent the Hamilton Community.
Joyce Suh, our missionary to Camobodia, had surgery this past Tuesday at Bumrungrad Hospital in Bangkok. Pray that the results of the surgery will be favorable and recovery and treatment will be positive and for Joyce’s mother from Canada who came to take care of the children during this time.
Thank you to our Sunday School teachers, helpers, children and youth for presenting the Christmas program last Sunday.
OUR CHURCH ANNOUNCEMENTS
Morning Worship Service, will be led by Pastor Jake Porter. We will celebrate Holy Communion. Anyone who is a beliver in Christ is welcome to participate in this sacrament. As we look forward to the birth of Christ on Christmas Day, we also reflect on his death and coming again.
Evening Worship Service tonight will be led by Rev. Ron De Young.
Christmas Day Worship will be held at 9:30 am on Thursday, December 25. An offering will be received for World Renew. Join us as we celebrate the birth of Jesus.
Community Evening Worship we will held next Sunday, December 28 at 6 pm at our church. Invite a friend or neighbor to join us as we reflect on the year and look forward to a new year.
Recycle ~ After you have enjoyed your Christmas greeting cards why not recycle them. The Teen Living on Campus can use them for various crafts. A Christmas card recycling container is in the fellowship hall for your donations.

Newsletter ~ Articles for the January newsletter are due next Sunday, December 28 and may be placed in the newsletter box in the narthex.
Yearbook 2014 ~ If you would like to order a Christian Reformed Yearbook for 2015 sign the order sheet in the fellowship hall. This book lists all the churches of the CR along with ministers. Books will arrive mid- January and cost $14.
Recycle your Christmas Cards ~ Teens Living on Campus can use your used greeting cards for crafts throughout the year. Your donations may be placed in the container by the church mailboxes. Any questions contact Sandi Nyboer.
Chili Cook-Off and Bread Bake-off ~ Our church’s annual Chili Cook-off and Bread Bake-off will be held on January 28. Start looking for a great recipe. Sign-up will begin the first week of January.
Love INC ~ Has God gifted you with a passion to help people in need? Love INC is seeking candidates for the Hamilton L.I.F.E Skills Program Leader position. This is a 14-16 hour-a-week position providing leadership and staff support of the L.I.F.E (Learning In Finances and Everyday) Skills Program primarily on Thursday afternoons / evenings in Hamilton and one day a week in the Hamilton office. Calvin Symposium on Worship will be held on January 29-31, 2015 at Calvin College and Calvin Theological Seminary. This year’s theme in based on 2 Corinthians. To register for the Symposium go to worship.calvin.edu/symposium.
Hearts & Hands for Honduras ~ Use your hearts and hands with World Renew and its partner ministry Diaconia Nacional on their community improvement projects in Honduras. Work alongside local laborers by building latrines, pilas and general construction. Details can be found at www.crwm.org. Pray that this need may be met.

A Christmas Prayer ~ As you gather with friends and families for Christmas celebrations remember to say a prayer for those who struggle to find the “merry” in Christmas. Pray for our military families, families who have an empty chair at the table, the homeless and so many others who are dealing with various kinds of struggles. Also say of prayer for our missionary families who are spending the Christmas season away from their families.
