OUR CHURCH FAMILY
Rev. Ruth Lemmen will be leaving for China on September 16. She would like to see her church family, say goodbye and have ice creams sundaes with you on Sunday, September 14 from 2-4 pm at Hamilton CRC fellowship hall. Please pray that she will be granted a double entry visa, packing will go smoothly and that she would say goodbye well.
OUR CHURCH ANNOUNCEMENTS
Morning Worship Service will be led by Mr. Shelby Gemmen who is part of the Renewal Lab at Immanuel CRC in Hudsonville.
Community Evening Worship tonight at 6 pm at Diamond Spring Wesleyan Church. The service will be held outdoors, weather permitting. The guest speaker will be Rev. Mark Inman. Bring lawn chairs.
Service ~ Next Sunday morning and evening, September 7, Rev. Harlan Vanden Einde will lead us in worship. Rev. Vanden Einde was part of the Borculo CR Church.
New Church Season ~ Next Sunday, September 7, Sunday School will have a “Meet and Greet” time for the children and youth as a new church year and Sunday School season begins.
Council Update ~ At the August 18 Council meeting, the Council decided to present to the congregation for approval the single nomination of Mr. Jacob Porter for consideration to receive a call to become the next pastor of Hamilton CRC. A special congregational meeting will be held September 7 at 11 am to vote on this proposal. Anyone who is a professing member, 18 years and older, is asked to attend this meeting. If you are unable to attend, absentee ballots are available from any elder. A profile of Jacob Porter is available in your church mailbox.

Outdoor Community Evening Service tonight will be held at Diamond Springs Wesleyan Church at 6 pm. Rev. Mark Inman will lead the worship service. Weather permitting the service will be held outdoors.
Sunday School for all ages will begin September 7 with a “Meet and Greet” for Pre-K – 12th grade. September 14 we will have lesson and class time; Pre-K – 8th grade will be dismissed during the worship service for their lesson; High School Youth will meet in the Youth Room following worship service.
Newsletter ~ The September Observer is available in your church mailbox and includes updates from our missionaries.
Small Group Bible Study will be held on Tuesday, September 9 at the Royal Park Atrium. There will be a potluck at 6:30 pm and a time of fellowship. If you are interested in joining this Small Group please contact Joyce Schaap .
Youth Mission Project will be Saturday, September 13. We will meet at the church parking lot at 4 pm and go serve supper at the Holland Rescue Mission. Anyone is welcome to join us on this mission ministry.
Ladies Guild Bible Study will begin their autumn study session on Tuesday, September 16 at 10 am at church in the Council Room. This will be a seven session study titled “Paul, to Live is Christ” and will conclude on December 16. We will meet on the first and third Tuesday of each month. Guild members will find the new study book and the autumn session calendar in their mailboxes. All ladies, of all ages, are welcome to join us in fellowship and learning. There is no preparation required. If you need a study book contact Naomi Olson.
Church Camp-Out for 2015 will be July 17, 18 and 19 at Tri-Ponds Campground. If you would like to camp with your church family you can call Tri-Ponds at 269.673.4740 or email at triponds.com to reserve a site. Tri-Ponds is holding some sites for Hamilton CRC for a limited time so make your reservation soon. Any questions contact Michele Dykstra.
Christian Reformed Conference Grounds in Grand Haven is hosting a travelogue, ‘National Treasures: Michigan National Parks and the Everglades” on Monday, September 1. A traditional roast beef dinner will be available from 5-6:30 pm with the travelogue at 7 pm. On Saturday, September 6 the Hope Heralds and the Faithful Journey Quartet will be in concert beginning at 7 pm with a chicken dinner available from 5-6:30 pm
World Renew ~ An unprecedented number of people around the world are suffering as a result of violent conflict. World Renew is responding by working with Christian partners to meet the needs of civilian families in Iraq, (especially persecuted Christians) Gaza, the Ukraine, Nigeria, South Sudan and the Central African Republic. Our conflict response in Syria, Lebanon and Jordan is also ongoing. Your prayer and financial support is urgently needed to enable World Renew to show God’s love and peace in these very challenging contexts.
Prayers ~ This week be in prayer for our churches congregational meeting on September 7. Pray that we may know God’s direction. Also pray for the various Bible study groups and Sunday School that will be starting with the new church season.
