Thank you to all of our church family for your many prayers. Paul had a very good report at the doctor. All tests are showing that everything looks normal at this time and he is finished with chemo. They will repeat the testing again in three months. He is regaining strength each day. We give praise to our faithful God for his healing. Paul & Joyce Schaap

OUR CHURCH ANNOUNCEMENTS

Morning Worship will be led by Pastor John. This past year each month we have had a special Missional Sunday to focus on renewal. A special welcome this Sunday to Amy Klanderman, Hamilton Release Time Director, who recently completed her first year at Western Seminary. As part of this renewal service, Amy will also lead our children’s message and also give a brief meditation “On Mission in the World.” Welcome Amy!

Memorial Evening Worship at 6 pm at the East Saugatuck Christian Reformed Church.

Willing Hands are needed to help with the Pancake Breakfast on Monday, May 26. Sign-up in the fellowship hall and be at church by 6:30 am. We need more helpers!

Volunteers are needed to help with the Memorial Day Pancake Breakfast on Monday, May 26 in our church fellowship hall. If you can help, sign-up in the fellowship hall today. We are in need of more working hands to help out. Reminder if you have signed up to help, be at church by 6:30 am.

Memorial Day Pancake Breakfast will be held in the church fellowship hall on May 26. Breakfast will be available from 7 – 9 am. Proceeds will be given to World Renew and Teen Life on Campus.

Hamilton’s 87th Memorial Day Parade will be held on May 26. The parade begins at the Hamilton Middle School and proceeds down 136th concluding at the Riverside Cemetery with a memorial service. You are invited to participant in the parade. Line-up begins at the Hamilton High School at 8 am with the parade starting at 9 am. Military Veterans are encouraged to be part of the parade. Come out and support this community parade and show your appreciation for the freedom we enjoy.

Beechpoint Christian Camp is offering a Day Camp Classic June 9-13 for boys and girls, ages 6-12. Camp Beechpoint is located on Dumont Lake in Allegan. Contact Beechpoint at 800.991.CAMP or go to www.beechpoint.com for registration and a list of all the activities for this fun week.

Holland Rescue Mission ~ is looking for Food Pantry Coordinators as well as group and individual volunteers to help sort donations and stock the Food Pantry shelves during the day and some evenings. Save the Date ~ Invite a friend and plan to come to a unique retreat – designed to glorify God through music and great speakers, and to renew and uplift all who attend. This event is planned by the Bible League International Volunteers and will be held on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at the Prince Conference Center in Grand Rapids. Brochures on the retreat are available by the church mailboxes.

The Christian Reformed Conference Grounds will host The Heralders Quartet in concert on Monday,

May 26 at 7 pm. Come early and enjoy a roast beef dinner in the Sunshine Room.

Pray for Nigeria ~ On Tuesday, May 21 at 3 pm two bombs exploded in downtown Jos, Nigeria. News media have reported over 100 people were killed and more than fifty injured. World Missions and World Renew staff and their family members are accounted for. Please pray against reprisal attacks and any further violence; for the release of the girls kidnapped in Chilbok, Borno State and their families; and for an end to the Boko Haram insurgence. Pray too for God’s peace and comfort to the many people in Jos and throughout Nigeria, who are traumatized by different recent crises in the country.

Thank You ~ The Holland Division of Bible League International Volunteers thanks all those who contributed to their project of providing Bible study materials to waiting believers in South America. Continue to pray with us for the provision of God’s Word to a lost and needy world. Thank you for serving the local church and other partners by providing Bibles for them to use in their ministry of helping people meet Jesus Christ.

Prayer Opportunities: Each Sunday at 9 am (Council Room), and each Wednesday at 7 am (Sanctuary). A Prayer Team is available for any prayer need after each morning service at the front of the sanctuary.

Spring Weather Policy ~ The policy of the Hamilton CRC for severe weather is that any church function is cancelled when a tornado watch or warning is still in effect for the Hamilton area (Allegan County) within one hour of the starting time for any church function. If possible cancellations will be announced on WOOD-TV8
