Congratulations to Kevin & Rachael (Nyboer) Anderson who were united in marriage on Saturday, May 31. May God bless them in their marriage.

Stan & Ardella Gates are part of a mission trip to Alaska this week with Hamilton Reformed Church. Remember this group in prayer for safe travel and as they work.

Thank you for those who came out to support the Memorial Day Pancake Breakfast this past Monday. Also thank you to those who gave of their time that morning to help serve the community of Hamilton. Special thanks to Kurt & Michele Dykstra and Mark & Sandi Nyboer for organizing this community project. Through the donations of the community of Hamilton we are able to support the minsitry of World Renew and Teen Life on Campus with $1,741.

OUR CHURCH ANNOUNCEMENTS

Morning Worship will be led by Pastor John.

Ascension Day Worship Service at 6 pm will be held at Hamilton Reformed Church. Pastor John will be the guest speaker, preaching on Christ’s “Reigning & Returning” .

Communion ~ Next Sunday morning we will celebrate the sacrament of Holy Communion. The Love offering will be for Faith Promise Mission Support. Lord willing, we will also have baptism of Jon Barum and celebrate with Jon & Suzanne the baptism of their baby daughter, Evelyn Christine. We will also celebrate the professions of faith of Laura Dykstra, Grace Kloosterman and Jenna Kloosterman.

The Community Garden is planted and growing. Now it is time to help maintain the garden. Every Wednesday at 6:30 pm anyone is welcome to come and help water, weed, pick the produce and just share in a good time.

Small Group (Schaap) Bible will meet Tuesday, June 10 at 7 pm at Royal Park Atrium. We will discuss lesson 10 – Spreading the Word.

Newsletter ~ The June Observer is available in your church mailbox. Be sure to check out our church family graduates.

Community Garden ~ Every Wednesday evening at 6:30 pm anyone is welcome to come and work in the garden. Join in on the fun and fellowship of maintaining the garden.

Cookies are needed for Sunday morning fellowship time. If you can donate store-brought or home-made cookies sign the sheet in the fellowship hall.

Service ~ Pastor John & Kathy’s retirement and farewell service will be held on Sunday, June 15 at the 9:30 am service. Light refreshments will be available after the service. Join us for this service.

Community Vacation Bible School is coming soon, July 21-24! There are various opportunities to volunteer for these four nights of fun with kids, Pre-K – 5th grade. Check out the sign-up board in the fellowship hall and place your name where you would like to help.

Kids ~ you can start learning the songs for Vacation Bible School. CD’s are available in the fellowship hall for a suggested donation of $5.

Beechpoint Christian Camp is offering a Day Camp Classic June 9-13 for boys and girls, ages 6-12. Camp Beechpoint is located on Dumont Lake in Allegan. Contact Beechpoint at 800.991.CAMP or go to www.beechpoint.com for registration and a list of all the activities for this fun week.

Holland Rescue Mission ~ is looking for Food Pantry Coordinators as well as group and individual volunteers to help sort donations and stock the Food Pantry shelves during the day and some evenings. Save the Date ~ Invite a friend and plan to come to a unique retreat – designed to glorify God through music and great speakers, and to renew and uplift all who attend. This event is planned by the Bible League International Volunteers and will be held on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at the Prince Conference Center in Grand Rapids. Brochures on the retreat are available by the church mailboxes.

Pentecost ~ Next Sunday is Pentecost, a time to celebrate the Holy Spirit. Through the gift of speaking in tongues on the first Pentecost, God made clear His desire to extend the Good News to all people. As we celebrate this special day, our offering next Sunday evening will be for Christian Reformed World Missions. Your gift will help proclaim God’s Word worldwide.

Prayer Opportunities: Each Sunday at 9 am (Council Room), and each Wednesday at 7 am (Sanctuary).

A Prayer Team is available for any prayer need after each morning service at the front of the sanctuary.

Spring Weather Policy ~ The policy of the Hamilton CRC for severe weather is that any church function is cancelled when a tornado watch or warning is still in effect for the Hamilton area (Allegan County) within one hour of the starting time for any church function.
