Morning and Evening Worship will be led by Rev. Ruth Lemmen, a daughter of our congregation, who is now working for Christian Reformed World Missions where she is preparing to encourage and equip pastors and leaders in Asia.  At this time she is raising support and receiving a variety of training.  She is hoping to leave in August, but still needs about $41,000 of support before then.  “Thank you for your support and those of you who are already supporting me individually and your prayer support.  My current prayer request is to meet my funding goal so I’ll be able to leave in August, to learn well how to be a Timothy Leadership Training leader this week (June 23-27) and to make good connnections personally and professionally once I get to Asia.”  Ruth can be contacted at 269.455.9370 or ruth.lemmen@gmail.com.

Church Camp-Out Potluck will be held on Saturday, July 12 at the Tri-Ponds Campground.  You are invited to join your church family for this fun event.  Bring a dish to share, meat for the grill, tableware and  drinks.   Supper is at 5:30 pm.  Come early and join for a relaxing afternoon.

Newsletter articles for the July / August Observer are due next Sunday, June 29.

Church Security ~ Beginning tomorrow, June 23, the church building will be kept locked unless there is               some                 responsible member present.  Council recognizes this may be inconvenient for some, but we also        believe with no one nearby as in the past eleven years, for the security of our building and all that is   contains this is a matter of common sense.  Feel free to call any Council member if you have a need for     access.

Community Garden ~ Every Wednesday evening at 6:30 pm anyone is welcome to come and work in the   garden.  Join in on the fun and fellowship of maintaining the garden.

Cookies are needed for Sunday morning fellowship time.  If you can donate store-brought or home-made   cookies sign the sheet in the fellowship hall.  Your donation helps to provide refreshments following the   morning worship time.

Vacation Bible School ~ Kids have you taken time to register for Vacation Bible School that will be held the      evenings of July 21-24?  Registration forms are available at the VBS table.  There are also CD’s available       for a $5 donation so that you can start learning the songs that will keep you hopping and roaring.

Zoo Crew ~ Volunteers, 6th grade – adults, come and join the zoo and be part of the crew for Vacation Bible   School for the evenings of July 21-24 at Haven Reformed Church.  There are many positions that our   church needs to fill soon.  Also donations of various items are needed.  Check the sign-up sheets and    place your name where you can help out.

CRCNA Synod 2014 of the Christian Reformed Church concluded this past Wednesday evening at Central College in Pella, Iowa with prayer, praise and thanksgiving.  For photos and a recap of Synod go to              www.crcna.org/synod.

World Renew DRS responds to US Storms.  Flooding and tornadoes affected communities in Minnesota,   Iowa, Nebraska and South Dakota this past week.  Homes were damaged and destroyed, people were            injured and some lives were lost.  World Renew DRS volunteers are on the ground to assess next steps   and provide care.  You can help World Renew DRS with your gifts (Spring Storms 2014 – mail:  World      Renew, 1700 – 28th Street, Grand Rapids, MI  49508) and with your prayers.

Love INC ~ Volunteers are desperately needed for the Life Skills Children’s Ministry that meets on Thursday    evenings at Haven Reformed Church in order for this program to continue.  For more information on      volunteering contact Jean Eding at 751.2533, ext. 107 or loveincje@frontier.comBeing able to       volunteer for just one Thursday night helps tremendously.

Church Prayers ~ Remember the Search Team in prayer this week that they may know God’s leading for     HCRC.

Prayer Opportunities:  Each Sunday at 9 am (Council Room), and each Wednesday at 7 am (Sanctuary).

A Prayer Team is available for any prayer need after each morning service at the front of the sanctuary.

Weather Policy ~ The policy of the Hamilton CRC for severe weather is that any church function is  cancelled when a tornado watch or warning is still in effect for the Hamilton area (Allegan County)  within one hour of the starting time for any church function.  If possible cancellations will be announced     on WOOD-TV8
